"Huh, what the hell is this thing?"
Two men working in scrap collection stood by an old abandoned building on the outskirts of Amity Park, looking down at what appeared to be a black and white bear robot with a gold star on it's chest and a red top hat with matching a bow. One of it's yellow eyes was missing, and the animatronic appeared to have seen better days.
One of the men shuffled in place, shifting his weight from one foot to the other as he studied the decommissioned machine. He looked up at his friend, brow furrowed in thought, "Looks like one of those old animatronics from years ago."
The second man hummed, "You think it's salvagable Bob?"
Bob shrugged, "Maybe we could sell it for a few bucks I guess. Let's get the truck Darek."
Darek nodded and both men walked away. If they had stayed within earshot, they would have heard whispering coming from the animatronic; what might have been children whimpering and whispering to each other before a little boy's voice spoke over them, "Shhhhhhh..."
The voices fell silent as headlights shined on the broken down animatronic, the men loading it up in the back without being any the wiser and taking it into town.
.o.0.o.
Fire flinched as yet another person bumped into her. She grumbled under her breath and sighed after a moment, "This is seriously where humans go to have fun?" She looked unimpressed at the mere concept, even less so when another guy walked up with what he probably thought was a sexy smirk.
She smiled sweetly, too sweetly, "If you even try flirting with me I'll bash your teeth in!" All of that was said in a cheerful tone which made the poor guy pale and immediately back off.
"Easy Sis," Danny soothed, though he didn't seem too happy either, "Sam said there was a book that she wanted from one of these gothic stores, we'll be out of here in no- Max if you try hiding I will seriously make you regret it."
Wes groaned, eyes fading back to their normal dark green as he clenched his teeth, "Why the fuck did you want me coming along? I don't like places like this, even before I got my memories back I didn't like the freaking mall!"
"Because Carrie dragged me here, and if I suffer, you suffer," Danny retorted, "Fire just wanted to come along for the hell of it."
The hybrid growled, "A decision I'm regretting." She froze when a brave idiot slapped her ass, eyes turning a dark red as she gritted her quickly sharpening teeth.
"You know what, I'm going to do something constructive." She started walking away toward the electronic store Phantom was currently trying to drag Mikey and Tucker away from.
"It's a new model~" Tucker sighed, eyes shining in want.
Mikey rolled his eyes, though he was obviously enthralled as well, "A new laptop would be cool to have for my robotics class...if only my college fund didn't take up most of my credit."
"Then WHY are you looking?" Phantom groused, "Will you two come on? We're going to be left behind."
"Excuse me, are you-"
"Yes I am Phantom, no I'm not signing autographs unless it's at an official signing, and no I'm not interested in a date." the albino listed out flatly, causing the girl next to him to snort.
"Guess those rumors about celebrities being all high and mighty are true," she snipped crossly. Phantom just smiled at her,
"Damn right toots. Now move along, I'm definitely not your type."
