A blonde girl with green eyes wandered around Amity Park, mulling over what she'd seen while spying on the Fenton kid, his boyfriend, and a few of his friends. It wasn't much, but she could tell that they weren't normal.
The blonde was so caught up in her thoughts though, that she didn't notice the red head coming around the corner until it was too late. She fell back on her ass, blinking owlishly up at the silver eyed dame standing above her. "Sorry," she smiled a bit, holding out her hand, "you okay?"
The pale teen blinked at the offered hand before hesitantly accepting it, "It's my fault. I was just lost in thought I guess." She smiled sheepishly as she got to her feet, dusting herself off, "I'm Xena by the way." Xena looked up at the other girl, "Xena Loki."
A strange expression passed over the other's face, but it was gone so fast that Xena figured she must've imagined it, "Well, it's nice to meet you Xena." She smiled brightly before walking passed her, calling over her shoulder, "It's a small town, so I'll see you later!"
Xena furrowed her brow, "I never caught your name!" The red head spun around with a laugh, "I never gave it to you!" Then, she ran off, leaving the blonde staring after her in bewilderment.
O.o.O
Danny felt chills and rubbed the back of his neck in confusion, 'What the hell?'
"Danny! Come on! Tucker's having another episode!"
"Sorry!" Danny ran up the stairs to Tucker's room. He couldn't help but shiver at the sense of foreboding he had though.
O.o.O
"Phantom? Are you okay sweetie?"
Phantom shook his head, blinking up at his mother and Ellie before smiling, "I'm fine Mom, just...a ghost treading on my grave I guess," he said jokingly.
When the girls looked away, Phantom let the grin fall, "Why do I feel like somethings coming back to haunt me?" He thought, shivering despite the fact that he couldn't get cold.
O.o.O
Fire ran as fast as she could. 'No, no it's not possible!' She thought frantically. 'She's dead! She died. I saw it, I was there, I know she died!'
Her eyes burned with tears and it made things hard to see, but she pushed on. Then, she ran into someone, a red head with glasses. Mikey, her mind supplied as they both fell to the concrete.
"Woah! Fire! What's wrong? Got hunters after you?" Mikey said, rubbing his sore head and straightening his glasses.
The wolf girl looked up at him, panic clear in her expression and holy hell, she was nearly hyperventilating. The red head scrambled up and backed away, her hands burying themselves into her hair, "She died. I know she did. She's dead, but she's here. How is she here? It makes no sense..."
"Fire! Jesus calm down!" Mikey grabbed her shoulders and shook her a bit to get her attention. "Take a deep breath and tell me what's going on, slowly," he told her, keeping his voice level as blue eyes looked into panicked silver.
Fire's breathing was still fast and harsh as she explained, "She's dead! I know it! I saw it, I was there, I know she..." The wolf shook her head to clear it as her panic died down a little, "She died Foxy. I...but she's fucking here and it makes no sense!"
The hybrid shrugged his hands off her shoulders, anger coming easily, "They killed her. Those fucking bastards!"
Mikey shook his head, his patience wearing thin at this point, "Fire, you're still not making any sense! Who's 'her'?!"
In that moment, it was very apparent that Fire had not started out as human. Her teeth sharpened as she bared them at him before snarling lowly, eyes glowing a deep red filled with feral rage, "Xena Loki is dead!" She yelled in his face, only after confirming that Xena was across town, of course.
Mikey blanched back, eyes bulging out of his head from the assault. Unsure what to do at this point, Mikey rubbed his temples and said in a low voice, "Okay, how about we go to Tucker's house so we can make sense of all this. I know it's a bad time considering it's Tucker's D-Day, but I'm a little out of my element right now."
He sighed and walked away, "Come on cuz," he said, not waiting to see if she would follow.
After a second, and a few deep breaths, Fire followed him. She walked a little faster to keep up before nuzzling his shoulder with a low whine as if to apologize.
"It's okay Fire," Mikey told her, "let's go and see Danny okay?"
When they got to Tucker's house, Mikey knocked on the door for politeness' sake before simply opening the door and walking in.
"Danny! We got a situation here!"
Danny ran down the steps, looking somewhat frazzled, "Will you keep it down Johny! Tucker hasn't been doing too good," he hissed.
Fire flinched, glancing away, "It's fine Foxy, this isn't that important anyway." She gave them both a smile, but Mikey's unimpressed expression basically said that it wasn't working.
"Fire, you almost went nuclear on me a few minute's ago, now tell Danny what the fuck is going on before what ever this is blows up in our faces."
Danny blinked and looked the wolf hybrid in the eyes, "Fire?" He asked, tilting his head.
The wolf girl's fists clenched, "You should just go take care of Tucker. He needs it more than I do." Her smile was painfully forced and she hated lying to people she trusted, but...
"I'm fine." Fire said quietly. Sometimes it was better to lie. Danny didn't need to get involved. None of them did. Not yet.
Mikey sighed, but decided to let it go, "Fine, my lunch break is over anyway so I have to head back. See ya' cuz, bye Nate."
Danny waved, looking at Fire uncertainly, "Bye Johny," he let a breath out after after Mikey left, "you sure you're okay Fire? If something's bothering you, you know I'm always here to listen right?" He said, giving her a small smile.
Her heart nearly broke then and there, but she just nodded, "I know Goldy, just..." She looked away, "Go take care of Tucker for now, okay? I'll...tell you later."
Danny's smile dropped, disappointed before he nodded hesitantly, "Okay. I might be staying here tonight though, Tucker's getting kinda bad. I'll see you at school tomorrow though, if you see Phantom, tell him I'm okay?" He smiled sheepishly at that, knowing how Phantom would worry.
The wolf girl nodded slightly, giving him a playful salute, "No problem Goldy." When she turned her back to leave the smile on her face dropped. Fire opened the door and closed it behind her before heading back to Fenton Works, halfheartedly hoping that the ghost prince would be there.
