Fire sighed as she walked out of the portal, stretching out her sore muscles. "Well, that was a good work out." She closed her eyes, humming as her ears relaxed. She'd spent a good chunk of the day at the castle training with the king, but had to stop because he's the king and only has a limited amount of time. Of course, while she was mulling over how to improve, that's when one of the machines started up, locking onto her signature.

The wolf girl's eyes shot open when she heard the whine, but wasn't able to move out of the way quick enough with her already strained muscles. The blast slammed into her side and she went flying, but by the end of it all, there were two groans that echoed through the lab along with the crash of the ghost catcher falling and breaking into pieces.

The two girls looked at each other, their eyes widening in shock, "You're..." Neither got to finish that sentence, cut off by the sound of pounding feet running down the stairs.

The two boys skidded to a stop near the enterance to the basement, their jaws dropping at the scene. The ghost catcher was knocked over and broken, two girls sat against the wall, and- oh, oh no...

One looked exactly like Fire would normally, but a few slight changes. Her eyes seemed brighter and her flames were more flared up than usual. The other girl...Danny clenched his fists.

The other girl looked exactly like Xena Loki. The only differences being that her hair was shoulder length and her eyes were a rose gold rather than a mossy green.

Phantom straightened up at the sight of her, but "Fire" was quick to intervene, "Wait! She's my other half! Let me take care of it." She said, stumbling to her feet.

The blonde shook her head, backing away, "Wait! I'm not-"

"Sorry Xena, but I won't let you hurt my pack." The wolf said, effectively cutting her off. "I am the benevolent one of the two of us after all."

Xena narrowed her eyes, "You? Benevolent?" She snorted, "That must be a joke."

The wolf girl frowned, "Which one of us lied and kidnapped Danny?" The blonde scowled, brushing some hair from her face, "That doesn't mean I'm the malevolent one!"

Phantom raised a brow, "You just implied that you could be malevolent."

Rose gold eyes widened, "That's not what I meant! I'm benevolent!"

Danny's eyes glowed gold, "I don't believe you." He hissed, gold energy sparking at his finger tips. At those words, Fire created a chair and picked Xena up by the collar, forcing her to sit down before using fire crystal to keep her there.

"Looks like I don't have ice." She shrugged, "Go figure."

Xena glared harshly, struggling against the crystal, "I'm surprised, your heart is cold enough for it."

Phantom snorted, "You're not helping your case." Fire shook her head, muttering something about her counterpart being reckless before turning back toward the boys.

"So, can we take this to Tucker?" She asked, gesturing to the catcher as her ears tilted back, "I'd like to be whole again as soon as possible."

Danny looked down at the invention, wincing, "Yeah, you keep watch, Phantom and I will take this and the plans for it to Tuck." The wolf nodded, smiling as she watched the boys gather everything up.

Xena groaned in frustration, "You got it all wrong!" Her eyes turned red, "I'm not malevolent!" She was promply ignored, the prince and the child spirit leaving after they'd gathered everything.

The blonde glared at the other girl's back, "You can drop your act now."

.o.0.o.

When Danny and Phantom came back, Fire was pacing in front of Xena like a sentry. The blonde was slumped into her chair, looking very bored as she followed the movement with her eyes.

The wolf girl's ear twitched and she smiled, looking up at them, "Finally! It was getting kinda boring." She looked over at the other girl, "She hasn't said much since you left."

The blonde bared her teeth, refusing to back down, "There's not much to say liar." She snarled.

The wolf rolled her eyes, "And she goes back to insulting me again, that's nice." Her ears perked up, "Oh shit, today's Sunday!" She pulled on her ears with a whine, "What are we gonna do!?"

Phantom sighed, running a hand through his hair, "The catcher will be done in a few days." He furrowed his brow in concern, "Can you hold out until then?"

Fire looked nervous, "I don't know how human I can look." She admitted, letting go of her ears with a sigh. "I can try though..." Slowly, a red belly shirt weaved together as her fur turned to ash. Her wolf paws turned into regular human feet, but the rest of her stayed the same. After a second her dog-like nose changed back as well, but that was it.

Danny rubbed the back of his neck, "We could always claim you're wearing a costume?" He offered. The wolf girl laughed and Xena marvelled at that. She looked normal and...sane. The laugh wasn't condescending or insane either...strange.

Then the moment was over, the wolf girl smirking slightly as her tail wagged, "And with what we did with that paranormal thing, I don't think any of the students would question it."

The boys snickered at that and Xena huffed, "If you're gonna leave me here then just go! I don't want to be forced to watch this."

The three teens turned to her, blinking owlishly. Then, the wolf smiled, "Hey Danny, how about a ride?" She looked over at him, "Tuck won't get the catcher done anytime soon and I still know how to run."

The raven smiled brightly, "Hell yes!" He grabbed her hand and practically dragged her toward the stairs, "Let's go!"

Xena struggled some more, her ice core pulsing frantically in time with her heart, "No! Wait! Please just listen to me." Phantom shook his head with a sigh, "Looks like it's just you and me then." He muttered, not looking too happy about that.

The blonde groaned, leaning her head back, "Somebody just kill me now."

Phantom snorted, "I'd love to, but then we'd lose the original Fire." Xena jerked her head up, "You'd also have a mass murderer to get rid of. Then you'd really never get to see the original." He ignored her, as she predicted.

Xena sighed, leaning her head back again, "For the love of Clockwork, Foxy please get a shift soon and save me."
