Chan's POV

It's finally the Sports Fest of the school and I can't wait! My friends and I have planned a few years ago that we probably would do nothing this sports fest since we aren't into sports. But I've always wanted to try and secretly just oppose their decision.

I went to lineups of different games and apparently I chose basketball. I know how it works but I haven't tried to play the actual thing so I had the chance to do so. I planned to do one game each day because something bad might happen since I don't play a lot of games recently.

My team and I went to the court and talked about the strategy. I was so tensed that time and had a bit of a good feeling about the game since I was so determined to win. On the first set, our team won. We had a short rest while other people were doing their own business. Suddenly, our health teacher went to the court and got the ball, she passed it to another student, in which most of them were girls, and I was surprised.

They needed another person so our teacher asked if there are somebody else that wanted to join. I saw another girl running down the bleachers running to the court. She looked familiar so I tried to take a look and it was Y/N, my old friend. I just met her last year but since we aren't classmates anymore, we don't really hang out or talk since we have new groups of friends.

I never knew that she knew how to play basketball, neither can I play it. They were playing while we were resting. The announcer called us again and the other people started to leave the court and we continued the game.

At the middle of the game on the second set, a player from the other team pushed me and I fell. My back hit the ground first and it hurt really badly. Everyone in the teams crowded near me and I could barely feel anything for a few moments. I saw in the corner of my eye; pushing through the crowd running towards my spot. Subin widened his eyes. "Hyung, are you okay?" He asks and I just shook my head.

He told the crowd to move back. He reached out his hand to me and I stood up. I felt a little better after a while. We exited the gymnasium as everyone was staring at us. "What happened?" He asked. "Someone just pushed me during the game." "You could've got really hurt back there. It's a good thing I was really at the top of the bleachers that's why I saw you." He worriedly said. "Thanks, just leave me at the clinic, I'll be okay there." I told him

"Are you sure?" "Yeah."

Y/N's POV

I guided one of my classmates to the clinic since she got hurt during the volleyball game. "Can you stay here for a bit?" She asked. I really wanted to watch the game but I did stay since I felt bad for her. "Sure, no problem," I said. We weren't really close but my other classmates won't come with her here so I didn't have any choice. While we had an awkward silence, I looked around the place. I suspected someone from another room, someone very familiar. Since my classmate was already sleeping, I stood up and checked.

Then I realized that it was Chan, my middle school crush. I know, he didn't even like me back then. But since my fake friend spoiled everything, I had to just quit and just say it like it was a lie. But past is past, I don't have to burden myself thinking of those bad memories. I didn't hesitate to talk to him that time and he wouldn't even bother talking about the past, would he?

I went in front of the slightly opened door and knocked. I saw him peek from afar. I opened the door and I saw him smile slightly as he saw me. Creepy, but I didn't bother to say it. It felt like my inner voice was asking me, "Why are you doing this?". I ignored my thoughts and just sat near him. "So what happened?" I asked while I was wondering what happened from a while ago at the basketball game.

"Someone from the other team just pushed me. I didn't get really hurt." He said. "I didn't see it since me and my friends were resting while you guys were playing. By the way, did you see me play while you were resting?" I asked. "Yeah, actually I was impressed because you were actually better than me." He complimented me. Pft, like I was good at it when I just kept passing the ball.

"Thanks, but I'm not really good at it," "Are you kidding me? I can't even get a point and I got hurt in the second game."

He had a point there but we shouldn't be bragging about how bad we are at basketball. "We just literally met after two years and we're talking about this now." "Yeah you're right," He agreed. We became silent and I tried to think of a topic. "I actually hated you right now than before we even met," He spatted out. I was kind of hurt when he said those words. What shot through his mind to say that to me?

"How dare you say that. I don't even hate you since before, but since you said that I hate you now." I said. "Knew it," "Knew what?" I didn't even know what was going on in his mind right now. "You never hated me, because you liked me." Memories started to run through my mind. He probably just heard about me having a crush on him just these days. He's not updated, is he?

"Or do you still like me?"

Beads of sweat started rolling down my face. I also questioned myself about that. "So..?" "Past is past you should forget those rumors." I hurtfully said even if I kept getting ignored before. "It's not rumored Y/N, admit it." "Fine, I give up. It's true." "But you didn't answer my question." He said and my body was panicking again.

"Uh, I-" "You do?" He cuts me off my sentence. "Because I do too." He confessed right on the spot. My eyes lit up and my body was tensing up. I instantly hugged him and he hugged me back too. "Ow, my back," "Oops sorry," We ended with laughter.

We talked longer and longer as I smiled to myself, realizing that the person beside me actually cared for me all along.
