Puff.
Thick smoke blew from between their lips as they laughed at a childish joke one of them broke. They inhaled the cigarettes again and puffed the smoke out. Unfortunately for them, they had to do this down an alley or at the back of their school building since they were underaged.
"Hey, give me some."
The three girls turned their head sideways to see Nara walking down the street towards them. "You're late." One of them said and threw her a cigarette. Nara caught the cigarette along with a lighter and started smoking with them.
"Old crank Mr. Seo was talking too much." She rolled her eyes and started inhaling the intoxicated smoke. "Sucks to be smart, huh?" Nayeon raised her eyebrows, hitting sarcasm on her. "Not as much as you do." Nara winked.
Nayeon rolled her eyes at her counter-back but none of them could point a fault at Nara, she spoke the truth even if it was mixed with sarcasm. They were what the society would label as ruined girls, wild. Sadly, no one would take responsibility of them, so all they could do was talk and blame.
As the girls were chatting and smoking freely, they made sure to be on the watch for any teachers or busybody parents. Since they were wearing school uniforms it would be even complicated for them to make an escape.
Then, they saw a black tinted car driving down the street they were at. Some of them turned around, to avoid whoever was in the car but Nara and Nayeon didn't bother. They thought it was some gang leader as the street was very wild with underground stuffs.
Black tinted car was a best identification as someone powerful in a gang, at least that was what they always see in the movies. Out of a sudden, the car pulled over right in front of them. Nara wouldn't lie, a small part of her was a little worried if it was their teacher.
"What the hell are you doing?"
Before any of them could even look at the driver, the backseat door was already opened and in seconds a guy their age walked out of the car. He stood right in front of Nara who still had a lighted cigarette between her fingers.
Nara stared at him, disbelief. Seconds later, she came to a conclusion that he was sticking his nose at the wrong place. They weren't even friends in the first place for him to suddenly come to her like this. She ignored him and was about to inhale another smoke when the guy grabbed the cigarette and threw it on the ground, stepping on it as well.
"What the fu—"
Before she could even say the deadly words, he pulled her into his car immediately, leaving the three girls behind. The girls had their mouth agape, shocked of the sudden drama.
"Felix, what the heck are you doing? Stop the car!" Nara shouted right next to her where he just leaned on his back. Nara shot daggers at him but he ignored her and so she tried opening the door to her side, but it was locked. She became frustrated.
"What is this, kidnapping? Who the fuck do you think you are?" Nara scoffed as she looked at him, next to her. However, her classmate kept his gaze outside the tinted windows and didn't bother to look at her at all.
Somehow, she felt uneasy. He was a very rich brat, and a smart one, not to mention a very naive guy. She could get answers from him as easy as stealing from a child, but at this moment, the silent treatment he was giving her seemed dreadful.
A minute felt like an hour, the car ride was awfully quiet. Too quiet to her liking. A few minutes later, the car pulled over. Nara looked outside to meet with a familiar place, too familiar. It was her neighbourhood, her house. The car halted right in front of her ramshackle small house. It was nothing compared to how Felix's enormous mansion.
The chauffeur opened the door to her side, waiting for her to get out. Nara looked at Felix next to her, whom still had his eyes on the other side. She was taken aback, she didn't know what to say to him suddenly. Their so called friendship had always been all bitter and snappy, well now?
Nara sighed loudly and decided to walk out without another word, as long as he won't bring this up tomorrow, she was grateful enough.
"Don't make me catch you smoking again, I don't know what I might do." His normal deep voice was deeper than usual, except it sounded a little bit dark and hollow. As if he was warning her. However, it takes more than that to scare Nara.
She smirked, although it wasn't visible to Felix. He was nobody in her life to stop her from whatever she was doing. Even her parents never gave a damn about her, who in the hell was he to do so? She walked out of the car and let it sped past her, Nara didn't bother thanking him nor did she bother to even look at his car.
She was far annoyed that he thought he did her a favour by stopping her once. Smoking was a small thing, he shouldn't be too proud of what he did.
Indeed, Nara was smart. She knew cigarettes would give her cancer and deteriorate her health. But if death was something she could wish for, believe her she would've prayed for it over and over but it never worked.

As the car drove past the neighbourhood, Felix looked down on his phone and unlocked it. He scrolled down his gallery and tapped on the recent photo.
It was Nara along with the three girls, smoking and laughing down the road in their school uniforms. He didn't bother the three girls, he zoomed the photo to the only one that wouldn't leave his mind.
He sighed, he would delete the picture as he hated to see her living this awful behaviour, but then he knew her too well on how stubborn she was. So, he kept it for future use. Although he hated to play rough on her, but he cared enough for Nara to not destroy her bright future.

🐾So, yeah. I think the prologue of this story kinda make sense now?
