"You lay one finger on her, the deal is off."
Felix ruffled his hair and yelled in frustration. He wanted to crush his phone as if that would helped him to save Nara. He waited impatiently for the stalker to reply an address of their meeting and settle everything out.
His phone dinged, a message from the unknown guy and luckily it was the address with a note for him to come alone. Felix was stressed out as he rushed out of his apartment and headed directly towards the place. The whole way he was unsettled and afraid, not for himself but none other than Nara.
He hated that he was the one to cause her pain again. Numerous time he tried to protect her but it all ended up wrong. He felt stupid, helpless. The only reason why he never truly tell her his feelings was because he was scared that he would hurt her and he already did.
Felix stopped walking when the route on his phone came to an end, he had arrived. His heart was accelerating, he was afraid that it might be a fraud and Nara's life was truly at stake. Her death would be his responsibility.
Just the thought of not hearing her voice again made him deeply scarred. The thought of the image where Nara was all bruised and tortured broke his heart. She had always been fragile to him, and even though she looked as if she was enduring the pain, he knew well that she couldn't stand any longer.
As soon as Felix walked through the doorless entrance, he was greeted with darkness. His heart almost sank at the thought of being tricked. He didn't care if he was going to die, but he certainly wouldn't stand if Nara was. Felix squinted his eyes and walked forward using the minimum light he had.
He walked through doors after doors on the unsteady concrete. After a while, he heard a whimper. The voice sounded as a female's. Without a second thought, he bursted through a wooden door and was face to face with a body curled up on the cement.
Her long hair was covering her whole face as she lied down, her body told him she was in very much pain. Felix didn't need anyone to tell, he could see it was Nara. Immediately, he rushed to her side as he lifted her head up from the cold floor. Nara groaned in pain before bringing her head up slowly to look at him.
It took her a few seconds before she rounded her eyes to realise it was Felix. However, instead of a cry of help, Nara shoved him away from her. Her eyes flashed terror instead of safe. She was scared for some reasons.
"Nara, it's alright—"
"No, Felix. You have to go! Now!" She tried pushing him away from her but Felix held on her shoulders tightly. He wasn't understanding why she was pushing him away instead of both of them trying to make out for a run. Felix tried calming her down but she refused to listen. Unfortunately, Nara was persistent to continue and push him away.
Felix was slightly frustrated. He didn't know what kind of brainwash did the stalker told her until she refused to listen to him. He had to make her quiet so they can both escape. Without a further delay, Felix crashed his lips on hers. It worked, Nara did fell silent until they broke the hasty kiss.
"Felix, run."
Nara didn't shout like before, instead she whispered. Before Felix could even think of a reply, her body was pulled away from his touch. Felix tried grabbing on her hands only to have them slipped away from his hold. He watched as Nara was dragged upwards by the neck while struggling to breathe.
He didn't waste anytime and tried grabbing on her feet to pull her down but she was too up high. He felt awfully painful in the chest to watch her struggle for her life. He would do anything to replace her spot.
"You bastard! Show yourself!" He yelled.
"She has nothing to do with this! Kill me if you're so eager to!" Felix's eyes wandered around the place but he could see nothing but darkness. Before he could further yell, he heard footsteps approaching. He squinted his eyes for a better look and spotted a guy in blonde hair looking older by a little. He had no idea who he was and what he wanted. All in his head was to save Nara.
"Let go of her. She's innocent." Felix said softly, almost pleading. Chan smirked instead, laughing in the process. "My mother was too." He said casually. Felix had no clue what he meant and couldn't help but to make a confused expression.
"Your parents killed my mother. They were arrogant, they refused to operate on her because she was an old and filthy woman. I begged them but they said I was no match for them. My mother's death was just a slight casualty to them." Chan said, his voice almost cracking.
"Now I'm going to do the same to you and your parents." Chan said and threw a knife in Felix's direction. Luckily, he had fast reflex and was able to move and spare his life. His focus however was on Nara's life instead of Chan.
Felix's eyes travelled quickly from Nara to the chains connected to her neck, whatever it was made of he had to cut it off for Nara to breathe again. He ignored Chan who tried to launch for him and instead ran to the end of the long chains connected to the wall.
Felix tried pulling the lever to see if it had any use to drop Nara back to the ground but it was tightly secured and a useless effort of his. Seeing this, Chan couldn't help but to stifle in a laugh. He thought of the same pathetic effort he once used to save his mother. In the end, it was all useless.
"That's stupid and you know that. Just watch her die." Chan said and threw another knife at Felix only to have it hit on his left thigh. The younger male groaned in pain as he dropped on the floor, with one hand clutching the knife. He inhaled a deep breath before pulling the sharp object out of his flesh and threw it aside.
The pain was unbearable but he had to be strong or he won't be able to see Nara anymore. Before he could react, a powerful kick was sent to his stomach sliding him towards the wall. He sensed another blow coming to his side but was fast enough to stop it. He twisted Chan's leg and pushed him away from him.
Felix forced himself to stand and launched towards Chan. He picked up the knife he threw aside and aimed for Chan's hands. However, his efforts were too slow as Chan managed to avoid each one of his cuts. The elder male aimed for a kick and it landed nicely on Felix's open wound, sending him kneeling on the floor.
Chan smirked, he was enjoying the sight of this boy kneeling to him. "Please, let her go. Just kill me." Felix whispered, his eyes fixed on Nara's body hanging. "She's not struggling anymore, she's dead. And so are you." Chan laughed.
He raised the knife in his hand, ready to stab the younger one right in his stomach before actually chopping him into bits. "Serves you arrogant bastards right." He said before aiming properly to stab. However, his trial became an error when both of them clearly heard police sirens outside the building.
Chan motioned for the two men of his to look outside and settled everything. However, before those two large men could exit the room, police had bursted through the doors. Chan dropped his knife as all of them had guns pointed to them. Felix however, didn't stay at his spot, instead he rushed over to Nara's body lying on the ground as the police managed to pull the chains loose.
He raised her head and realised she wasn't breathing anymore. Her expression was blank and her whole body was cold. Felix fought the tears back, he refused to believe that Nara was truly gone and kept shaking her head for her to wake up. However, there was still no answer.
