"Cute. Was she that important to you? I bet it would be painful for you to lose her. Do you want to know how empty and frustrated it feels to lose a world? To watch the light dimmed from your world as it slowly vanishes?"

Nara kept quiet as she lied down on her bed, staring at the old and worn out ceiling. Felix's words from yesterday repeated itself in her head. All this time, she had always wished he would stop bothering her but now that he called for a deal, she felt heavy to agree. Nara shook the thought away, the kiss must've casted some spell on her to make her lose her mind.

However, her eyes travelled to the picture she had which gave her so much motivation before. For some reasons, the fighting spirit seemed to have regained its path to her. She felt energetic once again to presume challenging herself to a better life. A small smile made its way to her lips, she had to thank Felix for that.

She made up her mind, she wasn't going to let anyone else bring her down. It was time for a real change, she was going to fight for the scholarship and escape the pits of hell she had been living in.

Sadly, every time she tried to create a peaceful environment in her room it never helped her. Her parents were always bickering, and sometimes they tend to bother her too much. Nara rolled her eyes and packed her stuffs, she was in luck because the public library existed.

She dashed out of her room before her parents could see her. It was almost noon by the time she left her house. The hot weather was enough to make her sweat so she fastened her pace towards the library. As she entered the air conditioned building, it was quiet, just the way she wanted.

She settled down and started studying. She had a lot to catch up as she refused to study before. However, it felt as if everything was in place. She hadn't realise that she preferred this life much more that she liked the previous one. The ruined, broken girl. The image she portrayed before was probably a way to protect herself as she was hurt countless times before.

However, as the scorching sun was shinning up above it started to make her eyes droopy. The cool air in the library also pulled her to sleep. Nara decided to take a short nap before she resumed studying.

Her nap ended quite quickly when the sound of books dropping woke her up. She opened her eyes and glanced at her watch. She only had a 15 minute sleep. Although she wished for more, but she knew she couldn't risk falling asleep there. As she was about to continue reading her Biology book, she noticed a piece of black paper was placed between the pages.

Growing curious, she opened it. The handwriting was familiar, not to mention the black coloured paper was exactly the same from the one she saw before in her bedroom.

"Did you enjoy my surprise? But the boy ruined it all by comforting you with a kiss. Childish. I wanted you feel the anger and emptiness when someone pushed you away and dragged you down but I failed. I won't give up though, until we meet again."

Nara looked to her left and right, she even turned back but everything seemed to be in place. Anyone who sent this must've done it while she was asleep. She couldn't help but to be creeped out by the fact that this person was actually stalking her. How else would they know about the kiss?

Nara folded the paper and kept it in her notebook instead, she tried to regain focus and resumed studying again. However, her study was extended until it was time for the library to close. She exited the library and headed to a stall for dinner. The thought of going home made her sick, she really despised the place but it was her only shelter.

After consuming an improper dinner, Nara walked down the streets towards her home. It was getting dark and it was the time she tried avoiding the most. Usually at this hour, men would start heading to clubs and they wouldn't not forget to hit on girls along the way.

She lived in a problematic street anyway, it was a bonus for her if she didn't catch one. As she was nearing her house, she noticed a car was parked in front of it. The lights coming from the car was so bright she had to put a hand over her eyes to see who it was.

"What are you doing here?" Nara questioned as she saw a familiar face. "Thank God you're okay." He placed a hand on her shoulder. Nara looked at him quizzically. He was acting strange, why would he be at her house at this hour? And her mind seemed to itched about the letter she received, did he get one too?

"Felix, is everything okay?" Nara asked, trying to catch any looks in his eyes that would made her understand. "Yeah, I was worried that my mother might've come to attack you or anything." He said. "I don't think she knows where I live." She replied, glancing at her house, hoping her parents wouldn't see this.

"I guess I'll be going now. Stay inside, don't come out if anyone other than me ask for you." Felix said, he looked right in her eyes. Concerned was written all over his face. "Sheesh, you don't have to worry. I can take care of myself." Nara shooed him, she was anxious that her parents might see them outside. They were materialistic for sure and seeing Felix, they'd be blinded.

She watched as Felix's car left the streets and proceeded heading inside her house. Luckily, her parents seemed oblivious about her presence which meant they heard nothing. However, she felt uneasy by the letter she received and she could tell Felix was hiding something as well.
