"Hey princess! Wake up!"

Nara blinked her eyes a few times right after Sunmi snapped her fingers in front of her eyes. She gave her friend a confused look, her head slightly tilted. Nara opened her mouth to say something but she was lost for words, she wasn't understanding her surroundings properly.

Sunmi rolled her eyes, she wasn't going to catch her daydreaming again. "You can watch sex tapes after this, focus on me." She commented, earning a hit on the head from Nara as Sunmi laughed. "Disgusting, who even watch those? Oh wait, you." Nara rolled her eyes.

"Pfft, as if you weren't imagining just now." Sunmi scoffed. "I wasn't, my mind just travelled to the wildest thing ever and that was being murdered while having Felix saving my life. Worst combination ever." Nara sighed, earning a laugh from Sunmi. She knew too well the two would never click.

"Anyways, are you coming for prom tomorrow?" Sunmi asked. Nara sighed, the thought of the annual school dance creeped her out. She disliked it so much, from the crappy songs to the stupid crown. "Of course not, it's stupid." Nara said. Her friend pouted, she wanted Nara to join as it was the most awaited school event. Their first ever dance.

"You're boring!" Sunmi whined. "Unlike that senior who's planning to fuck you, I have none." Nara sarcastically commented. Sunmi could only giggle, snapping back would only cause her defeat. The bell rang, class was calling them. They both stood up from their seats in the cafeteria and left.

As they continued to converse in the uninteresting topic for Nara, they weren't aware of some boys joking around loudly. Rather, they chose not to pay attention. Those boys were freshmen as well, but they were one loud crowd. Nara was the type to prefer the secluded and quiet life and they were not helping her with that.

Nara rolled her eyes as she walked past them, Sunmi and her separated ways as they headed for their respective classes. Nara slide the door to the left and was about to make her way into the class when she felt cold water splashed onto her.

It took her approximately 3 seconds for her to realise a bucket of water had just landed on her. Before she could even think why, a loud cheer of "April fools!" was heard from her classmate as he high-fived one of his friends. Nara glared daggers at him as she threw the bucket right to his face.

The whole class went silent, she killed their momentarily joy as she stormed her way out of class. She didn't care if she would be labelled as the girl with no sense of humour or the joykiller, she hated pranks, moreover if it came from Lee Felix.

As she dried herself in the lockers room and changed into a fresh new uniform, she sighed frustratedly. It would actually kill her to have a little laugh, she was very easy to be pissed. Nara slammed her locker shut as she exited the room, however before she could proceed walking to class she noticed a handkerchief was extended in her way.

She looked up and met eyes with the prankster. Nara rolled her eyes and walked past him instead. "Hey, I'm sorry alright. It wasn't meant for you, but you came before Seungmin—"

"Go to hell, you can't undo shits." Nara raised a hand, telling him to go away but Felix was determined to follow her around. "But if it would make you feel any better, that bucket hit my face and possibly fractured my nose." He said as he stopped in front of her, to show his red nose.

"Good for you." Nara patted his shoulder and continued walking. As they made their turn towards their class, a faint shout of "Incoming!" was heard. Nara wanted to react but she couldn't figure out where it came from. Before her eyes were eggs coming their way and before she could properly react, she was pushed to the wall.

Her back hit lightly against the wall as Felix crashed his body on her, protecting her from another prank. She heard cracking sounds from the eggs and realised Felix took the attack for her. He was that determined to make her forgive him. She looked at him confusedly as he grinned down on her. For once, her heart was racing because she was touched instead of angry.

The look in his eyes were calming, his smile gave her a warm and fuzzy feeling but it was impossible to have her admit that. "I saved you, now would you please forgive me?" He asked in an awfully low tone with the smile not fading from his face. Nara examined his features, she had never had good look on his face as they never talked before.

For some reasons she disliked Felix, because he annoyed her in a way and also because he was her rival in academics. Nara hadn't realise that Felix indeed possessed a heart-stopping smile and his eyes were so bright, not just that his freckles were beautiful which made her realise she had never touched one. Unconsciously, she brought her hands up to his face, he seemed to be unbothered somehow.

"I'll always protect you."

The comment was cheesy but it made her chuckled somehow. Nara wanted to fix her palm on his face when she realised she couldn't feel anything and slowly she watched right before her eyes as his body turned into dusts and finally he disappeared from her touch and the final bit of light in her world dimmed.

Nara opened her eyes, gasping for air. She had to blink a few times, as the light was awfully bright for her and everything was blurry. She realised it was hard for her to breathe, she felt forced.

Her whole body was sore as if she had broken a bone or two. She was in pain but she wanted to know where she was. Unfortunately, the light was giving her headaches and she forced her eyelids shut. She figured out it wasn't time for her to wake up yet.

Nara shut her eyes and tried to calm her heart as she tried breathing properly. Her memories started to sink in but some were blurry and unclear which made her uneasy. She could faintly hear a constant beeping sound which matched her heartbeat. She was unsettled until she felt a warm hand slipped right to hers.

"Everything's alright, I'm here." She heard. His voice was calming and it managed to ease her heart. She felt relieved and safe. A calm feeling for her to settle down. She wasn't sure what was coming for her but if she had to go, she was ready.
