Saytee
Okay, I can do this. My name is Samuel, not Saytee. If I keep my hair tucked away and I don't talk a lot, my cover won't be blown and I can just get out of here.
I don't ever want to go back to Montressor. Anything, even sweaty crew life, would be better than being a slave for that spoiled engineer-man.
It wasn't my fault that I was purchased by him. I was born into slavery, I had no choice.
Had.
I'm getting out of here now, for good!

I boarded the RLS Legacy before any other of my crew members did. I never spend my time around them particularly anyhow. I'd much rather walk alone.
I've never been on a ship as a member of the crew before. I'd been sent to plenty of planets, but that was as cargo. Being here, and actually seeming important was surreal.
I looked all around at the mast and the ropes, being so distracted that I didn't notice I was about to bump into the captain.
When I did, I'm pretty sure I let out a pretty feminine squeal. I jerked around to face him. He was smiling at me.
I have to admit this much, oh lord, he was handsome. But I couldn't show that I thought that, I was supposed to be a boy!
I cleared my throat. "Captain Hawkins," I addressed in the lowest, yet most believable voice I could make, and I held my hand out. He shook it and I went on with my introduction. "Samuel Renyold, we've met previously." I finished.
He nodded. "We have, I remember you." He told me.
Really?! Did he really remember me??
Come on, stop it, Saytee!
I just nodded and kind of awkwardly walked away, looking over the edge of the ship and waiting for the rest of the crew.
