I ran up the stairs and back into the deck. Everybody looked at me with sorry and pity faces, but I wasn't about to give in to despair.

I shouted orders, telling the men to get ready for a somewhat launch. They snapped into action. I was surprised yet relieved that they followed my orders with blind obedience.

Once the sails were prepared, I hung the necklace from the mast and pointed it up toward the sails. With a silent prayer, I opened the sphere and let the sails drink in the rays.

It was working! I couldn't help but laugh with relief as the ship began to accelerate. I let go of the sphere, running back to the wheel to steer us in the right direction.

But I stopped quickly, suddenly seeing the light behind me dim. I spun around, watching what remained of the light burn out.

"No!" I said to myself as I ran back to it. I shook it around, hit it on the mast, (anything I thought that would kick start it for whatever reason) but nothing worked.

That kid gave Saytee a faulty sun.

With anger, I threw the now clear sphere off the edge of the ship. I turned and yelled into the pipe that led down the the solar controls. I just said to use what he had, and to go full speed ahead.

Afterword, I stood back, looking up the mast. "Someone climb up there and watch where that boat is going!" I ordered. A few men actually complied.

As I stood there, unsure of what else I could do, I suddenly started to hear someone yelling my name. I turned to see where the source was.

The brink. What does Aaron want now? At first, I was going to ignore him. Then I heard him say, "James, I know.....taking her!"

But does he really know, I wondered. I had nothing to lose. I ran to the brink to talk to him. Sure enough, he let me know about everything.

I felt like I needed to show some gratitude toward my father now. This actually was a really important piece of information. So I let him out of the cell.

"Sure, we have a location now, but we'll be a day behind them by the time we actually get going." I pointed out as we walked above deck. Aaron looked around to see no one was watching, then he pulled off a chain from his own neck.

He had one if the suns, too.

"Maybe not." He said mysteriously, handing me the chain. I looked at him, shocked. He was just giving me this, and he knows how valuable it is.

"Go save that girl." He told me, patting my shoulder. I smiled genuinely, something I never thought I would do around my father, and opened the sphere to the sails.

I tied it around a part if the mast again, letting it dangle while it shined. I stepped back. I was still shaky with anticipation. I was going to get Saytee back, no matter the cost.
