I could only hear a few scattered yells from the crew, and one in particular from James. An angry shout.

That cyborg has got that girl , and it's a shame, too, that James won't consider me as help to him. Hiding down here with that cyborg, and listening to him desperately ramble on about his life, actually paid off.

I would be able to tell Jim I knew where the brute was taking her, that there was an entire operation of cyborg fugitives hungry with greed and lust.

I pondered long and hard weather I should try again to talk to Jim and tell him these things. For a while, my ignorance held me back. If he refuses to cooperate, he looses his chance.

But my better half soon kicked in. My son has just lost possibly the only love of his life. I can't just stand by and watch as his life gets ruined. I was already the reason for that once, and I'm now determined to fix it.

Maybe if we work together, he'll figure out we make a good team, and he'll let me be a part of his life again.

With my hopeful hunch, I tried my best to draw more attention to myself by calling anyone's names that I knew, mostly James'.
