I got those jet pack blues
Just like Judy
The kind that makes June feel like September
I'm the last one that you'll ever remember

I sit in my cold apartment watching the rain run down the window. It's been three months since she's been gone.

And I'm trying to find that peace of mind
Behind these two white highway lines
When the city goes silent
The ringing in my ears gets violent

I shake my head trying to get rid of the white flash and ringing after the accident.

She's in a long black coat tonight
Waiting for me in the downpour outside
She's singing "Baby come home" in a melody of tears
While the rhythm of the rain keeps time

She stood at the door wearing a black jacket and skinny jeans begging me to cone back to her. I simply closed the door in her face.

And I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"

Her voice and words echo in my head.

Did you ever love her? Do you know?
Or did you never want to be alone?

Did I really want to be alone. I huff and window clouds up at my warm breath. My heart throbs slightly.

And she was singing "Baby, come home"
"Baby, come home"

I continue watching the rain fall down.

I've got those jet pack blues
Fight off the light tonight and just stay with me
Honey, don't you leave

The last words I can remember speaking to her. She left anyway I went after her in the pouring rain.

Don't you remember how we used to split a drink?
It never mattered what it was
I think our hands were just that close
The sweetness never lasted, no

Why am I so bitter after the accident. I try to focus my mind on a happy moment. All of them include her.

She's in a long black coat tonight
Waiting for me in the downpour outside
She's singing "Baby come home" in a melody of tears
While the rhythm of the rain keeps time

The rain falls steadily as I pick up my phone and unlock it. Three missed calls and a message.

And I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"

I should of let her in on that day. Not let her go home.

Did you ever love her? Do you know?
Or did you never want to be alone?

Do I want to be alone? My finger hovers over the phone app.

And she was singing "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"

I scroll to her contact and sigh. Her voice still ringing in my head.

She's in a long black coat tonight
Waiting for me in the downpour outside
She's singing "Baby come home" in a melody of tears
While the rhythm of the rain keeps time

I walk out of my messy apartment and head out onto the street. Letting the rain fall onto me. Soaking me to the bone.

And I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"

I run towards her. Voice still ringing.

Did you ever love her? Do you know?
Or did you never want to be alone?

I can't be alone anymore. I need her but does she need me? I keep running anyway. Freezing from the icy rain. I need to make it to her. I finally reach where she last was. I knock and the door opens.

And she was singing "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"

She collapses in my arms sobbing.

"Baby, you can home."

"And I'm not leaving ever again."
