Description: how I would like to meet a guy

Word count: 327

I walk into the shop breathing in the scent of books. New books smell amazing. I walk in pulling my jumper over my hands more. I wander down to the young adult section eyeing the spines for interesting titles. I walk past Harry Potter eyeing the 20 year editions, knowing my red book is at home tucked next to the original. Percy Jackson, The Maze Runner, Nevermoor. My eyes settle on the Mortal Instruments. I pull on one slipping it from it's place. Reading the back I notice it's the second book. Not the first. I frown searching and finding nothing.

"Looking for something?"

I spin around seeing a boy, wearing a black jacket over a red polo that the employees are made to wear. A single eyebrow piercing sits above his bright green eyes.

"Yeah the first Mortal instruments." I say handing him the second one.

"I think we may have one out the back. Hold on." He runs into the back.

I wait looking at the titles, cringing slightly at Twilight. I read it, Heather made me, however I didn't like it. He comes back, not wearing his jacket this time.

"Yeah we had it however it's the 10 year version. Sorry, book orders were insane and we don't have the replacements yet." He smiles handing me a grey book.

"Thanks-" I look at his name tag. "Hiccup?"

"SCOTT!" He yells.

A barking laugh comes from the back.

"My name's Hayden. Hiccup is a nickname and SNOTLOUT! Likes reminding me about it."

I laugh.

"Thanks for the book anyway." I smile.

"Your welcome."

I pay for it and he scribbles on the recut before he hands it to me. I walk out savouring the last bit of book. I check the paper finding a number.

04 ## ### ### (pretend they're numbers (I am Australian so that's based on an Australian number))

I smile and pull out my phone and put it in. Making his contact name hiccup.
