Adrianna POV

Half way across the bridge , my knees gave way. But before I could slam into the ground , Thorin picked me up bridal style.
I rested my head on his shoulder, my eyes dropping slightly. I noticed that all the dwarves looked uneasy , but bilbo gazed round in awe.
I turned my head as I heard footsteps approaching us.
Lindir walked down a flight of stairs to greet us.

"Mithrandir." Lindir calls to gandalf , arms open.

"Ah, Lindir!" Gandalf smiled back , patting our old friend on the back.

As Lindir and Gandalf greeted each other, the dwarves murmured amongst themselves in distrust. I rolled my eyes, these dwarves were starting to annoy me , but they also started to feel like my family.

Lindir noticed my bloody body cradled into Thorin chest.
The colour drained from his face as he takes a step forward.

"What happened?" He asked in the common tongue.

" Orcs-" Gandalf replied simply "-lots of them"
Lindir nodded , then took another step forward. Thorin held me tighter to his chest , making me whimper as my wounded side was disturbed.

" Alla , Mellonnen. ( hello , my friend) " I whispered weakly to him in elvish , making Thorin tense up.

"We seem to keep meeting in these type of situations , it's becoming a habit " I chuckled lightly in the common tongue, so the dwarves and bilbo could understand.
Lindir smiled sadly.

"Indeed , however it is nice to see you again after all these years. Lord Elrond still has your violin , ready for your return." He said softly , smiling down at me.
He was like a brother to me , and we were good friends. Lindir then turned to gandalf.

"Lastannem i athrannedh i Vruine (We heard you had crossed into the Valley.)" lindir informed Gandalf , with a questioning look.

"I must speak with Lord Elrond."Gandalf told him in the common tongue , so the dwarfs weren't suspicious.

"My lord Elrond is not here." Lindir said frowning.

"Not here? Where is he?" Gandalf asked , troubled by lindir words.

Suddenly, the Elvish horns from before , sounded again. The Company turned around and saw a group of armed horsemen approaching along the bridge.

"Ifridî bekâr!Hold ranks!" Thorin shouted , holding me closer.

The dwarves bunched up together into a tight circle with their weapons pointed outward; the mounted Elves arrived and rode in circles around us. Eventually, they stopped, and Elrond, separated himself from the others.

"Gandalf." Elrond smiled , dismounting his beautiful horse.
Gandalf bowed gracefully.

"Mellonnen! Mo evínedh? (My friend! Where have you been?)" Gandalf said , embracing lord Elrond.

"Farannem 'lamhoth i udul o charad. Dagannem rim na Iant Vedui. Nartho i noer, toltho i viruvor. Boe i annam vann a nethail vin. (We've been hunting a pack of Orcs that came up from the South. We slew a number near the Hidden Pass.)" Elrond said , gesturing toward the pathway we had come through.

"Strange for Orcs to come so close to our borders. Something, or someone, has drawn them near." Elrond says , holding up an Orc sword , then handing it to a pale lindir.

"Ah, that may have been us." Gandalf says apologetically.

"Alla , na Mellonnen ( hello ,old friend )" I say weakly , drawing lord elrond attention.
His face becomes worried as he steps forward , towards Thorin and I .
