To say I was impressed would be an understatement. The bunker had everything from running showers to demon traps, not to mention the dungeon was awesome. It was the safest I felt in a while, and the closest I ever had to having a family. But I could sense the tension between Sam, Dean and their mom. I heard what happened, I knew she died and somehow came back, I mean it wasn't hard to believe. regardless of their mommy issues, Mary and I got along well.
More than well. She asked me several things about Sam, and Dean, and how they did up until this point. I knew them and their dad before everything literaly went to hell, but I left out most of the bad things. She felt bad for not being there, but felt worse for not knowing what to do now. And it seemed like the advice I gave her didn't help since she felt the need to back off, and give them space. Which leads me to the present.
Both the Winchester boys have never been more pissy, it's like living in hell all over again. Only difference is demons aren't as petty as these two are. We where all on good terms, but it seemed Mary leaving them meant I substituted her as their new mom. And that meant cooking, and being their emotional support along with Cas every now and then.
Dean was currently engrossed in eating the sandwich I made, and Sam watched a movie on his laptop as I sat next to him cleaning the guns and polishing the knives. We hadn't had a case in weeks, and while it felt nice the first few days, it was now torture. "Okay I can't do this." Deans eyes widened as he stopped chewing and Sam glanced at me with tired eyes.
"It's like you guys got dumped and can't move on, look if it's any consolation she's texts sometimes." Dean looked alway and Sam breathed in deeply. "We got a call for a case about an accident a few hours ago, it has werewolves involved, so you can either stay here and mope, or come with me and kick ass." Sam smiled in what felt like years, and Dean only shrugged with a goofy grin through a mouthful of food.
"Well then it's set, we leave in an hour and I'm driving us there." This had Dean rising out of his chair faster than Lucifer did from hell, vocalizing his concerns. "It's not up for discussion, my car was destroyed half a year ago in Chicago by a bunch of demons, which means I get to drive something other than stolen cars." Dean came closer lifting a threatening finger, but I stopped him midway placing my hand on his chest. "Oh and you might want to shower, werewolves have a strong sense of smell."
Sam snorted getting up as he followed me to get everything ready to leave, leaving Dean in the kitchen with his mouth hanging open. "You smelled it too?" "Yeah and speaking of which sunshine it wouldn't hurt you to shower either."
While in the car I got a call, urgently from Castiel saying he had a lead on Lucifer. We had kept up with him ever since the "White House" accident, regardless he wanted us to meet him. That still didn't mean I was any less scared that Lucifer would find me and turn me into his loyal servant. But that would be a discussion I'd keep from the Winchester's and instead tell Cas.
"So then we take shifts, tonight get a good nights sleep and push through it tomorrow until we get there." Sam finished saying this and both he and Dean looked at me for any signs of protest. "Look I'm fine driving, so don't baby me alright?" I looked back at Dean who stayed in the back in quarantine for not showering. "Yeah alright."
Not alright, we dragged ourselves out of the impala with the last bit of energy we had after a day and a half of driving. "You guys can set up, I'm going to get some food before I kill someone." "You're driving again?" Deans question was just an octave higher than his normal deep voice, his face cringing at the though of getting in the car again, even if it was his baby. "No I'm walking, I want to have somewhat fresh air."
I handed Dean the keys and turned to walk to the Chinese restaurant I saw before pulling up. It was cold, and the numb feeling on my hands only increased by a fraction when I saw the dark figure standing near the door. "You look just like you did the first time we met, same vessel and everything." I saw the red irises devouring me from the short distance he kept, the light hearted tone like a twisted tune I was sick of hearing in my nightmares. "Get out of my head."
"I'm not in your head anymore my little pumpkin, I can assure you I'm here in the flesh." He stepped out of the shadows, moving his hands to his pockets as he smiled with joy and pity, like the kind you have when you see a lost dog. "You know I was all about consent, and I wanted my offspring to come from someone who's grace came from a nice bloodline." He hand gestures to myself then him.
"Sadly I couldn't find you, and ended up banging the wrong girl." Despite being scared, his words made anger fester into retorts. "What makes you think I would have said yes?" He came a lot closer, and I was frozen in place, like I was glued on the spot. His neck was eye level with me as his eyes looked down at me with amusement.
"In that twisted little head of yours I know the angel you stole grace from would have said yes." He backed away for a moment, "after all we have that eternal binding contact." He circled around me, brushing a hand on my shoulder, as to encourage me to think. "I don't... I never made a deal with you."
"You're right, because I'm not a demon as mistaken by so many, but there was a contract and the grace inside your tiny body is bound with chains tied to mine." The reality of his words struck me, and I might have well been in hell all over. "So back to the subject at hand, I couldn't keep it in my pants and ended up growing my own little biology project inside someone who wouldn't listen and stay put."
"So what do you want from me?" He was back to facing me, abut a foot away with a smug look on his arrogant face. "After I find and kill her,my son is going to need a new-" "No. whatever sick demented cat lab you have, don't involve me." His hand reached out to pull me closer, my wrist trapped in his hands as the flesh on my bones burned with the intense heat he was radiating. "You're not allowed to say no, because you don't have a choice."
I could clearly see his facade disappear behind the vessel, the blood red eyes of the devil stared at me with demand, and the feeling to resist was suffocated under some invisible grip. "I still need consent for the important things, since only half of you is under my control, but let's make a deal." He brought his other hand to my head as h rested his chin on my shoulder.
"You keep working with the Winchester's to find our future kid, keep me updated, and I won't rip out their hearts." The soothing tone he used did nothing to make the feeling in my chest tighten, and I could physically feel myself shake. He ran a hand down my back, as to comfort me despite knowing it was his doing. "So do we go all the way?" I felt a dryness in my throat grow under the chocked response I gave. "Yes."
