A/n: My school was closed because we got like ten inches of snow, so I got to spend the day writing. This chapter has: Jackcrutchie, Sprace, SpecsxRomeo, Newsbians (SarahJacobsxKatherine), and SmallsxSniper. Sniper is non-binary and Davey is Aro-ace. The first part is all of them, then each part after is a different couple.
"Ten bucks says they close it" Race bet looking around the room from his perch on Spot's lap. The group- which consisted of Jack, Crutchie, Sarah, Davey, Katherine, Smalls, Sniper, Romeo, Specs, Race, and Spot were all gathered around Medda's Tv. A huge snowstorm hit Manhattan and they were waiting for school to close.
"No way, they never close school" Kath reasoned. She was sitting with Sarah in one of the arm chairs. She was right, but no one wanted to admit it, it was like their school district thought it was above closing for snow days.
"They might. Some of the elementary school kids are still at school" Smalls reminded them. She was sitting with her back against the couch and Sniper had their head in her lap while she played with their hair. The snowstorm hit around 10:30am while they were in school and it was still going, all the bus routes were backed up. Les usually got home around 4:45 when he took the bus, but it was 8:30 and according to Davey he was still at school. "All the school buses are backed up, and parents are pissed"
"The ride home was terrible and that was seven hours ago" Jack complained, he was on the couch and Crutchie was practically in his lap. They all rolled their eyes at his complaining, but no one disagreed. There was a reason they were at Medda's house. Only Jack, Spot, and Smalls actually lived with Medda, but Medda's house was only a few blocks from the school and no one wanted to drive home.
"You didn't even drive" Davey reminded him, he was curled up in the other armchair with a book and his phone. They all carpooled in his minivan except for Sarah and Katherine who took Katherine's car. The drive home had been stressful and crazy, at the time the snow was five inches deep and no one had plowed.
"Yes, but I had to watch you drive" Jack argued.
"You weren't even watching" Romeo pointed out. He was sitting on the floor and leaning between Specs' legs. "You were too busy sucking face with Crutchie" Romeo had been unfortunate enough to sit next to them. Crutchie and Jack blushed and Crutchie buried his face in Jack's chest.
"I have good news" Medda said walking into the living room holding her phone. "I just got a phone call telling me there is no school tomorrow" Everyone cheered and Medda held up her hands to quiet them "Which means if you get permission you can sleep over" Everyone pulled out their phones and one by one got permission to stay. "You all have to sleep out here" Medda reminded them. Separating boys and girls would be completely pointless considering most of them were gay and Sniper was non-binary, so instead Medda had them all sleep in the living room.
Everyone sorted themselves into the usual groups and ran in seperate directions to find blankets, pillows and air mattresses while Crutchie went to make popcorn. They had had enough sleepovers that everyone knew exactly what their job was. Within a few minutes everyone had some form of bed set up and Crutchie was sitting on the couch with a huge bowl of popcorn. "What should we do?" Smalls asked looking around
"Truth or dare?"
"What are we twelve?"
"Seven minutes in heaven?"
"Absolutely not"
"Hide and seek?" Everyone stared at Romeo. He just shrugged "I didn't hear any better suggestions"
"What if we just start a movie" Sarah suggested. Everyone agreed and after a few minutes of debate they settled on Tangled and turned off the lights.
