A/n: I wrote this in three hours because I realized I had nothing written for Valentine's day.
"We should do something for Valentines day" Crutchie decided when they were laying in bed on February 13th. They never celebrated Valentine's day, even after five years of dating. For some reason this year he wanted to do cutesy couple things and actually celebrate the holiday.
"Why?" Jack mumbled. He was already half asleep and didn't really want to carry on a conversation.
"We never do anything, and I think it would be fun" Crutchie shifted so he was looking at Jack and propped himself up on his elbows.
"I hate Valentine's day" Jack argued. For one it was a stupid greeting card holiday, but he also had had his fair share of bad experiences. He was forcibly outed to his (Homophobic) parents on Valentine's day, and now the holiday brought back bad memories.
"I know" Crutchie had been there and he understood why Jack hated the holiday, but he also wanted to do something "I just think it would be fun to celebrate"
Jack sat up when it became apparent this was going to be an actual conversation. He briefly debated turning on the light, but that seemed like a lot of work "What do you want to do?"
"We could go on a date" Crutchie suggested. He leaned against Jack's shoulder and pulled the blankets up to his chest.
"Everyone will be going on a date" Jack reminded him. Throughout the day Jack had at least seven people tell him they were going on a date to celebrate Valentine's day. "The restaurants will be packed and you hate people"
"I don't hate people" Crutchie was by no means an introvert. He just didn't like crowds, they always made him feel trapped on account of the fact that he couldn't easily use his crutches. "But that is true"
He must have sounded disappointed because Jack turned his head to look Crutchie in the eye "What if we sit around and eat ice cream while watching a movie?" The idea of doing something cheesy and romantic with Crutchie sounded fun.
"Can I pick the movie?" Crutchie asked, nudging Jack's shoulder.
"We can't watch Rent for every single holiday" Jack argued. Every time Crutchie picked the movie it had some kind of music. And during holidays he almost always picked Rent.
"Why not?" Crutchie ask "I know you love it when I sing"
Jack shrugged "You have a pretty voice"
"Sap" Crutchie teased. He kissed Jack's nose and yawned. "I love you"
"Love you too" Jack agreed "Can I sleep now?"

"But Davey it needs to be perfect" Jack whined loudly. Davey shook his head and moved the phone farther from his ear, so he didn't go deaf.
"Then why are you asking me? The resident Aromantic Asexual?" Jack always came to him for relationship advice and Valentine's day was no different.
"Because Race just tells me to propose whenever I ask him anything" Jack pouted. Or at least Davey assumed he was pouting.
"What about Kath?" Davey suggested
"Nice try. I'm talking to you" Jack responded. There was a crashing noise and Davey jumped.
"What was that?" Davey asked. He was really hoping he wouldn't have to call 911 again.
"I'm not exactly known for my baking abilities" Jack reminded him "I dropped the bowl"
"Was there anything in it?" Jack had been trying to make cookies for the past four hours and Davey had a feeling he just dropped the dough.
"No, I was cleaning it" There was more crashing noises and Davey had to wonder why his idiotic thirteen year old self became friends with Jack Kelly. "You are not here to judge my baking abilities, you're supposed to be helping me make this perfect for Crutchie"
