Sleepy

El's eyes flutter open and adjust to the light streaming through the cracks in the curtains. Her eyes are soon drawn to the freckled boy, deep in sleep. She smiles and kisses his nose, then wraps her arms around his neck and snuggles closer to him, absorbing his warmth.

Mike soon wakes, realising his girlfriend is awake and is hugging him. He quickly embraces her and whispers "are you okay love?" She pulls her face away from his shoulder and stares into his eyes. "I'm better than okay." She says with a smile and pulls him in for a sweet kiss.

He soon pulls away and snuggles into her again. "The boys and Max are coming over at 9 and its 8:23. We can't fall asleep again!" She exclaims, poking him in the side. "Just 5 more minutes" he mumbles as he pulls her closer. She giggles and they soon fall asleep again.

Mike and El wake to the sound of squeals and giggles. Mike lifts his head to see his friends standing next to the bed giggling at their friends cuddled together. He blushes a deep scarlet as they realise he's awake and start teasing him. El starts to wake beside him and looks up to see all her friends. She rolls her eyes. Invasion of privacy is to be expected at this point. She quickly kisses Mike, earning yells of protest from the group.

"Ew El! We already have to witness you and Mike cuddled together, don't start sucking face in front of us too!" Max yells, covering her eyes with her hands. "Yes, and we would prefer no sucking face at all WHEELER! We need to protect our baby El!" Dustin exclaims, Lucas and Will nodding their heads next to him. Dustin, Lucas and Will had been dubbed her brothers, and they were all super protective over her, and they were all geared up to punch Mike out if he hurt her.

El rolled her eyes for what she swore was the hundredth time this morning and untangled herself from Mike's arms. She pushed the other kids out, despite their protests. "We were supposed to be hanging out today!" Lucas yells, trying to get back into the room. "And you will! Just give us 10 minutes! Patience is key, child" El taunts as she shuts the door in their faces. "I'm older than you!" she hears from the other side of the door.

She giggles and climbs back into Mike's arms as he stares at her lovingly. "We really do have to start locking that door." He states as he pulls her closer. She nods her head and then buries it in his shoulder. "We really should get ready." She mumbles as she snuggles closer to him. "Yeah, I guess we should." He states as he pulls her in for a kiss.

"I can hear kissing!" Max announces, with her ear pressed up against the door. "I knew it!" Will yells "We should never leave them alone to get ready." Lucas nods his head enthusiastically as Dustin rattles the doorknob. "Locked" he simply states as he leans against the door. "We have to think of better ways to intervene" Lucas exclaims as the doorknob starts to turn and everyone steps back. It opens to reveal El and Mike, dressed for the day, but they can't help but notice Mike's hair is more ruffled than usual. "What are you staring at?" Mike asks as they head downstairs, ready for adventure.
