El and Mike were in the Wheeler's basement, waiting for their friends to arrive. It was Saturday morning and they were all planning to spend the day at the arcade. El had spent the previous night at the Wheeler's and she and Mike were now cuddled up, watching TV in the basement.
Neither of them were paying attention to the program however, they were too busy staring into each others eyes and laughing at Mike's failed attempts to catch popcorn in his mouth. "Okay, if I catch this one, I get a kiss" Mike announces as he picks up a piece of popcorn. "You are overly confident aren't you?" El teases while she shuffles backwards, giving him more room for his throw. "Just wait and see" Mike exclaims as he throws the popcorn, catching it in his mouth. He raises his hands triumphantly and starts chanting "Wheeler! Wheeler! Wheeler!" whilst El dies from laughter on the other side of the couch.
Once Mike is done celebrating he sits back down and shuffles over to El, wiggling his eyebrows. "I believe I earned a prize?" he teases, whilst tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear. She laughs and leans forward, giving him a quick peck and then sitting back, a smug look on her face. "No fairrrrr!" Mike whines, a pleading look on his face. El laughs again, and leans in.
Max, Lucas, Dustin and Will are let into the Wheeler house and directed downstairs by Karen. They walk down the basement stairs, chatting about their arcade plans when the sight in front of them stops them in their tracks. El and Mike, snogging on the basement couch. "OH MY GOD!" they all yell in unison, whilst Mike and El jump apart and El starts laughing hysterically, Mike quickly joining her. The others stare at them in disgust, not quite processing what they just saw. "I don't know what to say" Lucas exclaims dramatically, sitting down on a beanbag and looking at Mike and El, a scorned look on his face. "I am disappointed" Max says, sitting down on the beanbag next to Lucas's. "Thanks for the input mom and dad. Does the rest of the party have anything to say?" Mike asks sarcastically, looking over at Will and Dustin. "I can't believe you would corrupt our baby El in this way" Dustin exclaims whilst sitting between the couple and hugging El, as if trying to shield her from the world. Will just stands at the bottom of the stairs looking flabbergasted, causing El to break out into a fit of giggles.
About 10 minutes later when the shock of what they walked in on wears off, the group walk out the basement door, ready for the arcade. Before they get on their bikes, El makes a big show of giving Mike a passionate kiss, earning yells and squeals from their friends. They both laugh and mount their bikes, arcade bound.
