They both couldn't get off for the twelve week ultrasound appointment so I'm having to go by myself. The nurse looked at me with distaste. She was one of those older bitties that probably loved to gossip. "No man?" She asked. "Actually yes. Two. They couldn't get off to come." I said. She still looked distasteful. "Mine would have tried everything to get here." She nearly sassed. The doctor came in. "Done with the checkup?" She asked.

"I just got in here!" The nurse said. "I should fire you and those two. If it's not yours and their break do not go see them." She said before taking the clipboard. The nurse left. "Ok. How far long?" She asked. "Twelve weeks." I told her. She checked my heartbeat and lungs before having me lay back. I watched as she put the goo on my belly and the wand. It felt weird. I couldn't tell what was what. Then she started explaining it.

I could hear the heartbeat of the fetus. Once it was over I got to take a picture with me of the two dimensional scan. They'll be excited to see this. I went home and put it up on the fridge before sorting and starting laundry. By five thirty they both were home. I was finishing up the laundry when they both came in looking worse for wear. "New job my foot now. Those other hands are just trying to kill us." Jasper said. Drew went to the fridge for tea, but stopped short. A small smile appeared on his face.

He pulled the picture off the fridge and set his glass down leaning against the counter next to the fridge. Jasper had a curious look on his face as he went over to see what his cousin was holding. A smile grew on his face. He then glanced over at me as the buzzer for the dryer went off. I grabbed a basket nearby and filled it with the clothes. Then took  it to the table nearby. I then went back to check the time on the washer before folding the clothes.

"Going to get a shower baby. Then will help you." Drew said. I followed him downstairs to grab hangers I had them put in a basket for when they weren't in use. I grabbed the box from their closet and went right back up. "Not much morning sickness?" Jasper asked still holding the picture. "No. Maybe once a week and it's certain foods during the day after you and Drew go to work." I said. "We've got guests coming over tonight. Our bosses want to talk to us bout what's going on at the ranch. Their wife isn't coming because she's got too much to do." He said.

I nodded. "Do I need to be present or out of the room?" I asked. "I don't want to worry you cupcake. Drew doesn't either. It'll be stress on you, and that's not what we want especially when you could still miscarry." He said. I nodded. "I'll just get a bath while you and Drew talk to them." I said as I put the hang up clothes in the basket. The buzzer for the washer went off. I put the wet clothes in the dryer before taking the clothes in the basket downstairs.

As I was hanging clothes up Drew came in looking for a pair of jeans and a shirt in his underwear. I handed him a pair of his jeans before turning to hang Jasper's up. I then went upstairs to tell Jasper to get a shower because he stunk. He passed me on the stairs on his way down to the bedroom. I went up to check and see what he was cooking. Nearly double what they would have fixed if it was just us three. Soon it will be four.

As soon as I finished eating the doorbell rang. Jasper gave me that look. I just sat my plate in the sink and went downstairs. I could see Drew hiding the baby picture out of the way. I'm honestly curious about what's going on, but they won't tell me. That also puts stress on me. I honestly want to know what's going on before something happens and we either lose this baby or its born early.
