“Jin I’m so nervous!” You exclaimed while fanning yourself to rid your nerves.

“I’m sure you’ll get a part,” Jin assured you, patting your back reassuringly.

Jin was your older brother. The two of you were best friends and got along very well. You used to hang out often, but had grown a bit apart when Jin joined theater and was busy with all of his plays. Because you had always secretly wanted to act and because you wanted to spend more time with Jin, you auditioned to join the club and get a part in the next play.

The audition had gone better than you had hoped, but you were still nervous. Your dancing wasn’t perfect. Would that factor alone be enough to not even allow you a membership into theater club? You were about to find out.

You and Jin, along with almost all the other theater kids, were waiting in line to see the results. You watched as some sighed in disappointment, unhappy with the result, while some others cheered, happily skipping away, content with where their eyes had seen their name on the paper.

Your anxiety was broken when you were startled by exciting screeching coming from the front of the line. A group of guys all surrounded and high fived the source, walking away and laughing.

“It looks like Hoseok got a good part,” Jin pointed out, watching the guys celebrate, “Good thing too, he deserves it.”

You saw Jin’s suspicions to be correct when you noticed Hoseok’s smiling face as he jumped up in down in excitement.

“Hoseok? Yeah I’m sure he’s a good actor,” you said half-heartedly, still wondering about your own results.

Jin eyed you curiously.

“What? You don’t like him?”

“No, that’s not it at all!” You exclaimed hurriedly, “It’s more like I envy him. I have my morning classes with him and he’s always bubbly, excited, and in a good mood. I don’t understand it, Oppa. He always talks to me too, and I’m just not a morning person. You see?”

“Yes, I see that it sounds like he likes you a lot.”

“YAH!” You protested, blushing and hitting his shoulder. Jin laughed, patting your head.

Finally it was your turn to see the results. Your body shaking, you looked over the bottom of the paper, scanning for your name. You saw Jin’s as one of the bigger parts, but didn’t notice your own. Sighing, you walked away.

Jin grabbed your shoulders and pulled you back towards the results, causing you to look at him in confusion. He pointed towards the top of the page and guided your eyes towards it. You gasped in surprise.

“I-I got a main part?!?”

“Of course you did!” Jin exclaimed, picking you up in his arms and swinging you around in excitement. You laughed, telling him to put you down as to not embarrass you at school. “I’m so proud of you,” He told you, his eyes shining with pride.
