Seeing her with him made him feel something he knew he shouldn't. After breaking up with her, he thought maybe his feelings would go away. He was wrong.

It was fourth year. The year where boys and girls finally start to notice each other and get actually feelings.
That's exactly what happened to James Potter. He was just walking down the hall when he saw her. She was sitting in one of the window seats with a book on her lap, obviously not paying very close attention considering that she was only nodding every few words.
James slowed his pace, simply watching her as she pushed some hair behind her ear. She only looked up when another one of her friends walked up to her and sat down between the two on their feet.
They all laughed, her putting her book aside. James felt a smile pull at his lips, deciding to not make a note of the Slytherin tie on her chest.
From that day on he would always talk to her after class, only hoping it would amount to more.

The beginning of fifth year was when James finally asked you out. You said yes, and you dated until your seventh year.
After that is when Voldemort started coming to power and James started the accusations.
You argued that just because you were a Slutherin didn't mean you automatically were a death eater. He disagreed and thought it best for you to stop hanging out with your Slytherin friends.
You said no and decided to take a break.
A month later he saw the dark mark on your wrist in the hallway. He immediately dragged you towards an abandoned classroom, backing you up against a desk.
"What the hell Potter?" You hissed, pulling away from him. He ignored you and pulled up your sleeve.
"What the hell Potter? How about what the hell (l/n)!" He yelled, gripping your bicep tightly.
"Don't make accusations-"
"Accusation?! I can see it right there!"
"Lower you voice you tosser." She hissed at him again. "What are you going to do?" She asked him.
James was silent. He couldn't stand the thought of her in Azkaban. But he didn't want her running free.
"Just leave me alone." She told him coldly, shoving past him and out the door.
He didn't see her until years later.

The battle was long and difficult. Many were gone but many were still fighting. The turning point for James was when he saw her. She was dueling one of his friends, wearing all black without the silver skull mask.
Her face was calm but he recognized the panicked look in her eyes. He ran forward, shooting a spell and barely missing her. Her head snapped towards him.
Her expression fell but then went back to her cold one. "Potter." She walked around him in a circle. He kept an eye on her, his wand gripped tightly in his hands.
"l/n." He said bluntly. She swallowed, stopping in front of him. "I don't want to fight you." He said honestly.
She nodded, glancing at the Death Eaters that we're apparating away. She looked back at him with a smirk. "See you later." With that she apparated away.
He thought about what was coming up and frowned. Tomorrow their spies were supposed to be coming to the Order of the Phoenix meeting.
It couldn't be...
Yet it was.
The next day James was one of the first ones there. Since he was so early, she wasn't there. About ten minutes later, he did see her. She walked in with an oversized jumper and leggings, her wand tucked into her boot.
He stood up and walked towards her, stopping a few feet in front of her. She looked up at him with sad eyes. "Told you I'd see you later." She muttered.
James chuckled dryly. "I guess so. I'm sorry. For accusing you of being a death eater when you were really just doing it for the good side. I'm sorry for not believing you."
She smiled slightly. "Doesn't matter now, James. The information you're about to here will change your train of thought from a simple girl to something much bigger."
That night they were told about the prophecy. A month later, it was found out to be Alice and Frank Longbottoms child. They were murdered and Neville was given to his grandmother.
A month after that James and (y/n) started dating. Again. Except this time there were no secrets amongst them. They lived happily, (y/n) leaving the death eaters with her life still intact -barely- and her boyfriend waiting with open arms.

This was literally the worst thing I've ever written in this book, I'm so sorry. On the plus side I'm working on a an avengers x reader book and so far I'm very proud of it. I'll post when it comes out!
