Mike, somehow, convinced Lucas's mom to let them all sleep over. Maybe it was because she knew Lucas hadn't had any friends over in a while. Eleven called Hopper and told him she was staying at her friend Lucas's house and wanted him to drop off some clothes for her, so he did. The others were surprised to see Hopper arrive and were surprised that Eleven hugged him. "Guys, this is my dad, Police Chief Hopper." And she smiled and the other four were taken back by this, but the novelty wore off a bit after Eleven grabbed her clothes and waved him goodbye.

Eleven, Lucas, Max and Mike were playing Truth or Dare, while Dustin was messing around with Lucas's radio. "Truth or dare, El?" Lucas asked. He just had to squirt mustard down his shirt as a forfeit (if you take a dare and then deny it in their game) "I dare you to try and skateboard down the stairs!" Lucas shouted. She took it, because the forfeit was to pour milk over your head; somehow, she did it successfully and didn't even hurt herself!

She jokingly told them, "With a bit of practice I could be better than Max!" And Max playfully hit her in the arm, while the two burst into fits of laughter. Mike didn't understand them, but sat by El so he could be near her. "Max, truth or dare?" El asked. "Dare!" Max shouted. "I dare you to climb out the window!" She didn't know what was going to happen, but she would've avoided it if she knew what would happen.

The boys thought Max would do it and climb back in like the daredevil she is. She climbed out, only to accidentally slip and fall to the ground. The boys ran outside to see her, but she wouldn't respond. "How could you? She was my GIRLFRIEND!" Lucas shouted. She heard all three of the boys shout at her, so she ran off. She hated being shouted at: it reminded her of Dr Brenner.

(I know this didn't exactly happen but it's supposed to be different to the real thing that happened.)

Dr Brenner sat her down in a chair and wanted her to tell him what the man in a different room was saying through a picture and the inbetween (what I call the black world). Instead of saying them she'd put his voice in the PA system. That wasn't what he wanted and didn't even tell him all the words! He was angry. He wanted her to tell him what the words were and tell him all of them, which she didn't do. She had the same nightmare again, of her screaming for him, only to be dragged off to the secluded room at the end of the hall and started crying.

She realised she was crying and told herself it wasn't her fault. Knowing that Hopper would've gone to work since she was out, she stayed where she was. She was in a thick brush of trees, that no one would find her in; she wanted to be alone. The only people she needed hated her, so what was she supposed to do? She sighed and decided she'd stay there for the night, and set off to find a new friend, considering she was so lonely and the boys didn't want to see her face.

Max finally awoke. "Where's El?" She asked. "Why do you care? She hurt you! She might as well get run over!" Mike shouted. Max got angry at him, he was being mean to a girl who didn't deserve it. "She didn't know that would happen, did she? If she did, she never would have done it! Imagine, she's new! She didn't have any friends and was lonely until she got friends, and all they want is for her to get hurt!" Max shouted back and ran off to find El. There is no way she is letting her best friend get lost or hurt!

The boys regretted shouting at her. Now they had lost two people in 5 minutes! Mike sighed, sitting down and covering his face. He was a disgrace to his friends, Max... and Eleven. He truly hurt the one person he loved the most. He stormed off the other way, hoping to find Eleven before Max does and convince her to not forgive him and the others.
