Staring down at the invitation once more you bring yourself to look up at the house you saw for the last time back in 1984. The house that held so many memories you've created.

You carefully walk up the driveway in a long dress and heals careful not to trip, especially not after spending hours getting ready. You enter the household taking in the familiar setting.

"Oh my god, is that who I think it is?" You turn around to the source of the voice. An automatic smile appears on your face as you spread your arms wide.

"Y/f/n."

"Hey guys. Oh, I've missed you," you say pulling both Dustin and Lucas into a hug.

"Surprise seeing you here."

You pull away and giggle. Dustin smiles wide and bright as you gasp while covering your mouth.

"Oh my god! When did you get front teeth?!"

"A lot has happened in 13 years y/n."

"Well, I can see that," you say looking over at the girl whose arms are linked with Lucas. You clear your throat looking directly at Lucas.

He smiles widely and looks over at the girl standing beautifully beside him, "y/n meet Max, my girlfriend. Max meet y/n, our best friend. Max came to Hawkins a year after you left."

"Nice to meet you," you greet kindly.

"You too."

"Y/n?" You freeze on the spot recognising that voice immediately.

You look over at Lucas and Dustin, "please don't tell me... is it..."

Dustin and Lucas smile as they use their heads to point behind you, "turn around."

You cautiously do and you almost burst into tears just at the sight of him, "Will..." you say in an almost-whisper/relief tone before hugging him tightly, making him chuckle.

"Hi y/n."

"Hey," you heave a sigh of relief, "I tried my hardest not to cry today as well."

"I've missed you too."

"I'm sorry I wasn't there when they found you."

"You're here now, that's all that matters," you hug him tighter unable to let go.
