He was the new kid and everyone was already obsessed about him. He has quite a reputation. Your typical bad boy, someone's been reading too much wattpad stories if I'm being honest. People from his previous schools said he was known for having the tendency to break girls' hearts, one of those in and out guys, the type to ghost a girl after the first date, never a relationship kind of guy.

Mother always told me to stay away from guys like that and I live by that.

It was currently lunch and I'm sitting with my friends, laughing about always the weirdest things and only the weird things bring on more weird things.

My friend sitting in front of me gasps as I look at her. She's slapping the girls on both sides, looking as if she's seen her celebrity crush which only gave me one indication on who it was, "Finn Wolfhard is coming over."

My eyebrows furrow, "he wouldn't."

"Uhh y/n, don't turn back but she's right," without turning around I see everyone in the cafeteria turn to look at Finn who was behind me. I fought the urge to turn around, to see for myself whether it was true or not.

This is such a typical wattpad book, I'm about to go home and become home schooled.

"Hey y/n," I feel an arm around my shoulder as my body freezes. Why am I his next victim? What have I done to the Earth to deserve this?

I laugh awkwardly and move his arm away from me in one motion, "hey Finn. Um... the popular people sit outside."

He sends me one of those cocky side smirks as I shudder at the sight of it, my friends trying not to faint in front of me right now, "sorry, I'm still trying to figure my way around this place. Besides, I'd rather sit indoors with you."

"I do wonder how many people you've used that line on."

"None, it's a new one I just made up. Not all the popular groups I've met have sat outside while the girl I'm interested in sat inside so you're the first."

"Wow, I feel honoured," I say sarcastically as he lets out a low chuckle.

"Let me take you out Friday night," he says straightforwardly as I almost choke on my own spit. My friends are all hyperventilating like crazy.

I look at him as if he was crazy, "Finn, I'm sorry but we only just met today."

"And it feels like I've known you for ages."

"And you definitely stole that line."

He puts his hands up in defence, "I got caught. But I feel different around you, I think I'm falling in love."

"Do you know what it feels like to fall in love?"

"Well, do you?" He asks. I look taken back by the sudden counteract.

I bite my lips, "no, actually," I confess, "never had the chance."

"Neither do I. So I say we find out together, let me take you out Friday night y/n."
