How is it that it's the closest ones that's the blindest when it comes to love? Like you give them all these signs, you give them advice that clearly asks them to look at you but they never see it, as if the signs you give him are just transparent. The movies make them look easy, so cliche, so predictable but somehow we expect our lives to be just like those movies.

He called for me to meet him at the movies to pick him up because he was on a date with Millie and she was absolutely, positively pissed for no apparent reason and he needed to escape, and quote "ASAP".

I get there and about to enter the vicinity until two people come rushing out and surprise; Finn and Millie.

"Come on Millie, don't be like this."

"Be like what Finn and what is she doing here?" I look taken back. I just came to pick up Finn, why am I getting attacked for?

"I called for her to pick me up," Finn says, standing between me and Millie cause he knows damn well if she continues down the road she's going her face is going to meet the road soon.

She groans, "you seriously cannot last a second without your precious little y/n. Every second of every day y/n this, y/n that. You're obsessed about her."

"We're just best friends Millie, you went into this relationship with Finn knowing that not even someone like you could drift us apart. I don't know why you're being a bitch about us being friends," I state, my weight on one leg so my hip was out a little with my arms crossed.

"I'm getting pissy cause this boy is in love with his best friend despite being in a relationship with me."

I look at Finn who has frozen on the spot, "that can't be true," but his face said it all. She was right.

"Have a nice night love birds. Finn, don't ever call me ever again."

She stomps off down the street, only me and Finn now. Well things just got awkward.

"Finn ... hey, you okay?" I touch his shoulder and make him face me, "hey, if it's not true just don't listen to her. She was upset and pissed, she just says what she feels like."

"But it is true though y/n," he says softly, I almost didn't catch what he said but I did.

Oh.
