The party was in full swing and I was dedicating my time to taking care of my drunk best friend who recently went through a bad breakup. She insisted on coming here and getting wasted just so she could forget about her ex. But I didn't know Finn Wolfhard was gonna be here or else I wouldn't have come at all.

I had left my drunk best friend in the hands of a trustworthy person, our other best friend, to go use the bathroom for a bit.

Finishing my business I had exited to find Finn leaning against the wall opposite to me. His arms crossed as every girl that walked past stared at him in awe.

He makes eye contact with me and stands up straight, "there you are."

I send him a fake smile, "here I am."

"Did you wanna dance?"

"I don't dance especially not with you."

He takes a step forward as I watch him with my arms crossed, "I'm getting tired of this Y/N."

"I have done nothing, you continued despite my feelings being well obvious."

"So tell me then. Tell me you don't like me and I'll leave you alone."

And without hesitation, "I don't like you."

He stares at me in disbelief for a split second and walks away as I am suddenly left with a sense of loneliness in my heart.

Before I realised I was pushing my way through bodies and arrived outside in the pouring rain. My hair getting drenched in seconds.

"Finn!" I yell from across the street to where he was as he turns back.

"I don't like you--"

"I get it Y/N."

"Just listen to me! I don't like you but I don't hate you either. Everytime you text me I feel happy inside, everytime you fuck up I just wanna punch you across the face, everytime you're sad I wanna cry with you and kill everyone that hurt you ... and everytime you leave me I...I miss you."

I take a deep inhale. What did I just say?

He makes his way to me, "you confuse me sometimes Y/N but I can learn to love that about you."

I meet him halfway, in the middle of the road, and fall into his embrace, my lips pressed against his as the rain poured down on us.

What a typical movie scene.
