You and Finn shared the same crib, literally because your parents were high school friends and so you grew up knowing each other and becoming each other's best friend so ever since you could remember everyone would tell you how blind you were to not know his feelings towards you.

I mean sure he gave you flowers on occasions, you'd have sleepovers, he'd tease you and casually swing his arms around you and hug you but you thought that was what normal friends did so you were now at his locker, ready to set the record straight.

"Hey," you start.

He looks over as a large grin forms on his face, "hey you."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Yeah. You know you can ask me anything."

"Do you like me? Cause everyone's been saying so and I just want to hear it straight from you--"

"I do," you blink a couple of times letting the words process.

"You're not breathing which means you're in shock. Breathe y/n," he exhales as you copy him, allowing the breath you were holding in to exit.

"Wait, seriously?" You ask just to make sure.

He shuts his locker and pulls you by the waist so you're back is against his locker, his build towering over you as you pretend to not be fazed by it. Everyone in the hallway stops and stares.

"You were that blinded?"

"I mean..." I shrug and break eye contact but he holds my chin to reconnect the contact, "I-I mean... I thought you were just being kind."

"Well listen carefully then. I like you y/n. And I have for a very long time. Everyone was right about my feelings you were blind to see."

"Well, you listen carefully then. I like you too Finn. I like you a lot. I was just scared cause I'm not good at stuff like this and I was scared that if you didn't feel the same things would become awkward between us. You know?"

"Why do you think I've kept it hidden for so long?"
