Zane walked down the street to his best friends house. He knocked on the door only for it to be opened by a dark haired girl. Aphmau smiled and stepped aside for Zane to go in. Zane went in and sighed at how many people were here. The part just started and Zane was already getting irritated. The couples were there too and they were all together acting all lovely dovey. Garroth was sitting in Laurence's lap Laurence peppering him with kisses. Vylad was sitting next to Dante but facing Dante playing with his hair while Dante held a smile looking at his little pea. And Travis. He was holding Katelyn's waist. Her head was on his shoulder and his head was on hers. They stood at the food table making small talk and laughing. Zane ached as he watched the two talk happily. He was happy Travis was happy but it hurt him to see Travis holding someone that wasn't him. Don't get me wrong. They never dated but Zane has had a major crush on Travis since high school and he still does. But Travis never even looked at Zane. Zane walked to the food table and grabbed a cupcake walking away hiding his face while he ate it. He never wore the mask until middle school. He used to be a happy person before middle school. Middle school was when everything in Zane's life had gone down. He would always smile until his 'friends' brought him down constantly and he found no use in smiling anymore. He got bullied for the freckled that laces his nose bridge to his cheeks. Zane was adorable without his mask tho. No one could deny but for people to feel better about themselves they feel like they need to bring others down and Zane was the perfect person. He was an inch or two shorter than the males in his school and he had a slight female snapped body. He would skip to class happily and sometimes tie his hair into a small pony tail. Zane hated being bullied and being told he wasn't good enough so he changed according to everyone who pointed out the flaws he was insecure about from the last who pointed it out. Not only that but his parents didn't have time for him and his brothers were much more popular for him so he was always home alone crying.

Travis however. He was almost like a perfect kid. His parents loved him with all their heart. They always found time to spend with him. He was loved in school. He was cute because he was shy and stuttered. Nothing about him was a flaw or was ugly because he was popular and had popular friends like Garroth or Laurence. No he was pronounced perfect like his friends. With his gorgeous white hair and beautiful green eyes to his nicely tanned skin and godly voice and his masculine body. He was perfect and everyone fell for him. He was kind and sweet. Nothing about him was bad he seemed perfect but no one is perfect. Irene made everyone imperfect so it wasn't unfair to her children. So if you were seen as perfect there's something everyone doesn't know about you that will make you look imperfect. Like Travis. He was pan. In school people were homophobic so they didn't allow gays or bisexuals. But it's easy to hide your sexuality especially since Travis had a huge crush on Katelyn.

Zane walked back to the living room sitting on the couch for one person taking out a book he had brought with him. He opened up his book reading where he was left before Garroth and Vylad went up to him with their boyfriends.

"Hey Zane!" Vylad cheered.

"Hi baby brother." Garroth said grabbing onto Laurence.

"Look the nerds reading." Laurence said taking the book.

"Haha once a nerd always a nerd." Dante said.

"Your dating a nerd. I'm not a nerd!" Zane growled.

"Vylad isn't a nerd." Dante crossed his arm looking at Vylad.

"Yes he is. He has thousands of books at home and he comes to me saying he's finished every one of them. All my books are from him!" Zane retorted finally feeling like he had enough of this.

Aphmau looked at him frowning. She came up to them and took the book from Laurence's hand.

"Zane your going back to your original self. I should've known better. I shouldn't have invited you. I think it's best if you leave." Aphmau said throwing the book back to Zane. Laurence and Dante snickered while Garroth and Vylad watched with sad eyes.

Tears left Zane's eyes as he stared at Aphmau.

"Like always I'm the victim." Zane said before getting up from his spot dropping the book and leaving without it.

Travis was watching everything that had happened feeling sorry for Zane. He watched everything that happened and it wasn't Zane's fault. He wasn't dating Katelyn no he actually liked Zane. But it just happened in the moment so it seemed like he was dating her. He walked over picking the book up. Everyone watched him as he left the party and to Zane's house.

He arrived using the spare key he found under the doormat to open the door. He walked into the pitch dark house finding no sign of him. He turned the lights on hearing silent sobs coming from upstairs in Zane's room.
He walked up the stairs opening the door to the lit room finding Zane crying on the floor. Travis knew everything that happened to Zane when he was younger. And to be honest he thinks Zane is ugly under the mask and behind his hair because that's the only reason someone covers their face. Right? But it didn't stop him from loving Zane. He held Zane scaring the male to pushing him away. Travis grabbed his arm holding Zane. He was careful to not hurt Zane from his grip and with his free hand he caressed Zane's cheek. He wiped a tear from the skin Zane was showing and smiled. Zane looked away frowning.

They always come but in the end they always go..

Travis' smile left and his hand moved to Zane's chin lifting it up so their eyes met. Zane closed his eyes trying to stop the tears that begged to escape. Zane shook his head getting out of Travis' grip looking at the ground sobbing. Travis hated the sight of Zane in this state. Zane's mask started to get damp from all the tears he shed. His hair getting messy but never uncovering his right eye. Travis pulled Zane onto his lap cradling him. He shushed him muttering sweet words to him. Zane eventually calmed down and gripped onto Travis' sweater.

"Zane?" Travis broke the silence.

"Yea?" Zane whispered.

"C-can I see you without you mask or hair in the way?" Travis asked.

Travis had a vision of how Zane looked. He still expected Zane too look ugly but he still wanted to see. Zane nodded. It was the least he could do for the only one that came to comfort him. He looked at the ground and took his mask off putting it near him. He moved his hair to behind his ear and slowly looked up. He looked Travis in his green eyes blushing. Travis stared at Zane in shock. It was nothing he expected.

"Oh my Irene." Travis started.

"I-I know I'm ugly." Zane said looking back down before being stopped by Travis.

Travis stared at Zane's features not looking away. His right eyes was beautiful. It was a glassy ice blue and he had freckles. His lips were glossy and a light pink. He had a piercing on his right ear. He was beautiful..

"Your beautiful..." Travis whispered. Zane's blush darkened in color and he looked away.

Travis smiled and kissed Zane's cheek shocking Zane. Zane looked at Travis before feeling a pair of lips on his. It was short but sweet. Filled with love. Travis was smiling like an idiot when he pulled away. Zane was smiling slightly.

"I love you." Travis cheered happily hugging Zane.

"I love you too idiot."
