Vylad's POV

I remember when I died. The worst day of my life. I became a shadow knight. I remember taking Levin from his mother and giving him to Aphmau.  My only friends are Aphmau and Laurence. To be honest I felt a bit hesitant when Aphmau said I have a good heart. I've done horrible things in my past. I've killed many people. I've stole things and more. I hate killing people. I was so happy to leave the nether when I did. Laurence said that he is a shadow knight too. Aphmau and Laurence were taking me to their village. I wonder if I'll see Levin. I wonder how old he's gotten. I wonder how he's doing.

"You know I think Kawaii~chan will like you Vylad." Aphmau said

"Why?" I asked.

"Your very optimistic. Your joyful and cheery." Laurence turned and nodded while he walked in front of Aphmau.

I continued to walk behind Aphmau taking out my knife. The lord ordered me to kill Irene's descendant and that's what I'm here to do. If I don't an entire village will fall and many will die. I can't let that happen over one person. We have lived without Irene for years an we did fine. It will be alright. Aphmau turned around and saw the knife in my hands.
She stared at me while I looked for an excuse.

"Sorry I'm a bit suspicious about these woods." I lied.

"Oh don't worry we have Laurence here." She skipped ahead.

I smiled she reminded me of my older brother when we were younger. I haven't seen him in years. I miss Zane too. We arrived at the village hidden in the trees and walked through the gates. Almost immediately a blond haired male ran out hugging Aphmau.

"Mom your back! How was it?" He asked.

"It was great Levin."

Levin? I can't believe it! It's really Levin. I stared at him smiling behind my scarf. Although I only delivered him to Aphmau I felt like a part of me stayed with him.

"Lord Levin you mustn't just run out like that. It could have been dangerous." A blues haired male said.

"Don't worry Dante it's just my mom." Levin smiled as he turned around.

"Who are you?" Dante, I presume, said drawing his sword .

I summoned my own protecting myself backing up. Levin dragged Aphmau in and left Laurence to deal with this. I'm guessing they haven't seen each other in a while. I would too want to spend time with my mum if I knew where she was.

"Dante it's fine he's with us. And it's Vylad." Laurence said holding Dante back.

"You never know." Dante continued to glare at me his sword out.

"Put your silly excuse of a sword away and I'll put mine away. If you fear me then you should protect yourself from even bugs for even they can kill you." I said obviously annoyed with this guy.

"Hah." Laurence laughed.

Dante glared at the both of us.

"I'm gonna stay by lady Aphmau's side." He said walking back in.

'No he can't it will interfere with the assassination. I don't wish to kill anyone but her.'

"Ugh." I let out a groan of annoyance.

I realized what I had done and quickly laughed walking into the village exploring a bit of it. I met really nice people and the guard tower was really nice. The tree they grew had a lot of life and was healthy. The base wasn't out there and hard to spot from the sky. It's almost as big as the regular trees around and blended in. It hid the village nicely. This must have been why no one could find lady Aphmau. But her magic is so strong we could have sensed it. I remember seeing an elf around here if I'm right elves have magical powers that can hide the magical presence not matter how strong the presence is. This village looks better than I though it would be hard to take this village down. I continued to walk down and found a bridge. I walked to the center and sat down. I took out a piece of paper and a feather for writhing. I used my knife cutting my hand and using it as ink for the letter I was going to write.
