Sheremee's POV

Heterochromia. That's the doctor's diagnosis, the discoloration that's happening in her eyes is called heterochromia. Paulit ulit kong binibigkas ang salitang iyon habang pinagmamasdan si Ruins. I went to a doctor para ipatingin si Ruins, wala kasi si Izzy ngayon at saka kailangan ko din ng med cert para sa kanya, I can't explain the real reason behind her eyes to Sage's family and also to mine kaya napilitan akong iclaim ang diagnosis na iyon.

I sighed. Feeling sorry for my baby.  Why does she have to go through this?

Napakagat ako sa labi. She's so beautiful, at kahit bata palang ay alam kong mabait na bata ito. Napabuntong hininga na lamang ako at nilibang libang ang sarili sa mga iba pang nagdadaang pasyente dito sa floor ng ENT at OPHTHA.

Sage is on his way here naman na, galing silang school para kunin ang books at uniform ng kambal. After that mamimili kaming school supplies dahil need na yun next week kaya kailangan naming magrush.

"Dah! Dah!" Ruins mumbled, I smiled at her.

"You are a daddy's girl, aren't you baby?" sabi ko, bumungisngis ito at saka nilibang ang sarili sa paligid. Dumapo ang tingin nito sa kanan namin at nagtagal doon.

On the long leather set where we are sitting there is a young man looking at Ruins. He's wearing a black cap, nakajersey shorts na black at plain white shirt. Naka elite socks ito at slip on slippers, there is also a gym bag beside him. From the looks of him, mukha siyang varsity college boy.

Ruins giggled while reaching out to him. Natawa ako sa anak, she likes talking and playing with strangers.

'That's a bad habit baby, magagalit ang Daddy mo.'

Nilingon ko ang lalaki, nakatitig ito kay Ruins lalo na sa kakaibang mata nito at mukhang pigil na pigil na laruin ito. Ruins is still reaching out her tiny hand while giggling.

I smiled at him catching his attention. "She's very friendly." I said,

The guy smiled. And I must say he's really handsome, somewhere between a Korean Heartthrob and a spanish descendant. He looks way too tall, maybe an inch taller than my husband.

"What happened to her eyes? Is it Heterochromia?" nagaalinlangan nitong tanong,

"Yes. Heterochromia, how did you know?" I asked politely,

He slightly pouted and reached out to Ruins, her tiny hand grabbed his' pulling him towards her. And that's how she plays with strangers people!

"My girlfriend has heterochromia, too." he answered, he leaned towards Ruins, looking at her eyes carefully.

"Ganito rin yung kanya. But the discoloration is still on the process. " he looks so worried and in no time I didn't realize we're talking and Ruins won't stop playing with him.

"She's with her Dad, I just got here from my training." he's a college student sa TCU and an athlete. His name is Everest, even his name has that unique ring on it.

"What's her name?" he asked, I let him carry Ruins but I'm kinda regretting it now dahil kinuha ni Ruins ang cap niya at mukhang mahihirapan na kong kuhanin yun.

"Ruins." I answered, napapilig ang ulo niya sakin, natawa naman aki sa reaksyon niya.

"A bit different, I know." hindi ito nagkomento, at nagpatuloy na lang sa pakikipaglaro kay Ruins.

Tumunog ang phone ko habang nag uusap kami, binunot ko iyon sa bag na dala ko, it's Sage who's calling I was about to answer it when someone caught my attention. Nagsitaasan ang balahibo ko sa batok, bagay na nararamdaman ko tuwing nasa paligid ang mga kasama ni Sage at Saab, I checked my surroundings pero wala naman sila sa halip ay isang slim at magandang babae ang nandun at palapit sa kinauupuan namin she's with someone, a man wearing an expensive looking suit while she's wearing a simple adidas track pants and a white hoodie. May eye patch ito sa kabilang mata.
