When I walk into the house my senses are overwhelmed. There are people everywhere. Some are playing video games, some are watching people play video games, and some are wrestling on the floor. The T.V is loud and booming with gunshots. I notice Nathan playing the video games with some other guys that I don't recognize. I notice Alex cheering on some of the guys from the couch and I see a large piano in the corner of the room. It was a glossy black and the keys were a prestige white. There wasn't a speck of dust on it.

"You have a piano?" I ask.

"Normally, if we have someone over that's the last thing they ask about," Daniel replies.

"That's because people who come here normally don't make it out. Nor are they in any position to ask about a piano," Alex says, now making his way over to us.

"Oh?" I say not really sure what to say. It's not like I'm squirmish. If I were I would have probably squirmed all the way to my grave.

I look around the house. It's beautiful. There is large floor to ceiling windows near the piano and the whole house seems to be open, even with so many people. There is a large green plant in another corner and I can see a large seated table in the room next to this. Before I can finish looking at everything Daniel is asking me a question.

"Do you play? The piano?"

"Um, I took a few lessons I'm not very good though. I just dabbled a little with music about a year ago."

"Oh, that's cool. My mom taught me when I was twelve," Daniel said.

"Hey look Daniel brought someone home!" Yells Darren, Alex's older brother. This catches everyone's attention and I can feel everyone's questioning eyes on me. And of course, that's when the hydrocodone decides its time to make an appearance. I start to feel my head getting fuzzy and heavy and my limbs getting weaker and jerky-like the longer I stand.

I can hear a few people whisper, their words spin around the room.  "He looks like he's going to pass out" and "bruh, is he high?"

Daniel takes this as his cue to drag me up the stairs that I was just now noticing. The looked long and narrow.

"Hey man, what did you take," Daniel asks a little rushed.

"Just 3 hydrocodone's," I reply in a higher voice than usual and I couldn't stop the giggles from escaping my mouth. He must think I'm crazy, and for some reason that bothers me. More than it should.

"Jesus you're high as shit," He says with a sigh.

I don't know what's wrong with me but I couldn't stop laughing. The dosage was higher than I was accustomed to and it was noticeable. Soon enough Daniel is clapping his hand over my mouth, probably finding it annoying.

He continues to drag me up the stairs and down the hallway. We reach a door at the very end of the hallway and he pushes me inside. I look around while he closes the door behind us. The room has a black and red theme-just like the car-and there is a door to my right that must lead to a bathroom.

Above the platform bed, there is a picture of Daniel and what must be his mom and dad. So Daniel shoved me into his room. With that thought in mind, I start laughing all over again.

*Daniel's POV*

I clamp my hand over Jaidon's mouth to muffle his giggles and drag him to my room. If I'm being honest, I'm worried about him and that kind of scares me. No one in my position should care about someone. It's always a disaster. Just look at my parents.

A gang leader cannot fall for anyone. I have hookups with random men that's it, and even then, they were few and far. I feel like he needs my help though.

As soon as a push him into my room he starts laughing. Like hysterically laughing. I can't help but grin, he's kind of a funny high.

"Come on maybe you should sit down," I tell him calmly. When I go to grab his arm he falls down and starts shaking.

"JAI! Are you okay? What's happening!?" I yell worried that he may be overdosing.

I look at his convulsing body and I instantly get scared. I jump to the floor by his side and my hands slide over his body, trying to figure out what to do. His tan skin is as soft as velvet under my finger. Snap out of it! I tell myself and I start chest compressions. I could in my head and lean down to give him mouth-to-mouth, not knowing what else to do.

"Gotchya!" He yells as his body jumps upright. The motion makes me jump back, my hands flying off of him.

"Jesus, you almost gave me a heart attack! Don't do that!" I yell more freaked out than mad.

"What's going on?" Alex and Ace asked as they burst through the door explaining that they heard yelling and got worried. Ace's hand was by his waistband where I knew a gun was resting.

I get up from the floor and explain to Ace and Alex what Jai, who is now laughing in a dazed state, had done.

"Someone's whipped!" Alex hooted while laughing.

"No, I'm not, I just didn't want a new buyer dying in my room," I corrected.

"Yeah, you better keep an eye on him. I've seen him a few times high off his ass at school, every day really. It would be a shame if he were to get addicted if he's not already. He seems like a good guy," Ace explains.

"That doesn't make sense. He told me earlier that he only took them every once in a blue moon when his anxiety gets too much," I tell them

"He's lying. But it's not your problem because he's just another buyer to you unless you have something to tell us, Daniel," Alex says, apparently, my own gang is ganging up on me. How ironic.

I huff and we all look at the weirdo, who is now sitting on my bed, rubbing my sheets, while saying to himself how soft they were.

"Well good luck brotha you're gonna need it," Ace says as they back out and shut the door behind them.

I watch Jai sleep, who passed out a few minutes ago, as strange as that sounds. I got a little bit out of him in his strange stage before he passed out. I know that he has a twin brother named Damon, who I'm pretty sure I have gym with, but I could have guessed they were twins since they literally look identical except for a few things.

Like, Damon has a design shaved into the side of his head and Jai's eyes are a blue-green, much like his brothers but Jai's eyes have little flecks of what seen to be a moon like silver, but they both share the same blonde hair and slightly tan skin. What stood out to me the most though-Jai's scars.

They were jagged lines on his forehead and cheek. Long and mean looking. Upon further inspection, there were smaller scars hidden on his arms and chest. I wanted to know his story, I wanted to know who he was and why.

I wanted to know what made Jaidon tick.
