❝I love you, babe, so bad.❞ LANY, ILYSB
JUNG YERIN & HWANG EUNBI.
"yerin, stop. please." sojung pleaded as her friend took another gulp of alcohol. "this isn't going to help."
gulp.
"what the hell do you want me to do then?" she turned around to face her friend, eyes droopy and a little bit blurry. "be fucking happy that my girlfriend left me?"
the taller sighed, "no. but i know eunbi wouldn't have wanted this." she soothed.
but the mention of her ex-girlfriend made yerin cry again. her loud sobs echoing through the whole room.
"eunbi left me eonnie. she told me she loves me. but why would she leave me?" she cried.
sojung wanted to cry at the sight of her bestfriend like this. if you ask who was the strongest between the two of them, she would answer yerin with no hesitation.
yerin was strong both physically and mentally.
her smiles are blinding and you'll immediately be happy just by seeing her smile widely.
and seeing her like this hurts.
because she can't do anything to make her feel better.
"yerin. . ."
"i love her so fucking much." she said, her head was already aching and her hand started to wobble. "so fucking much. i'll give her the world if i have to. i want her to be with me. i'll give anything to hug her right now. i love. . . eunbi. . . so mu-"
thud.
yerin's fell face first at the wooden table, the empty soju bottle making a clanking noise but not breaking.
her friend looked at her worriedly, checking her face if she broke anything from the impact. knowing that yerin's nose is still intact, she let out a sigh of relief, hoisting the unconsious girl with the support of her shoulder.
"you know what yerin?" she whispered, "eunbi loves you too. so much. don't forget that."
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
the tension in the airplane was suffocating.
it was like all the people on board pitied her. the woman who served her, the pilot who had greeted her, the men in suits. . .
they all wore the same expression.
pity and sadness, hidden in their faces.
she can see it in their eyes, the way they avoided eye contact except necessary. or how they looked at her like they're trying to find where jackson left scars. or how they talked behind her back.
it was uncomfortable and she sank in her seat, wanting to be unnoticed as possible.
"you need water, miss?"
"no thank you." she smiled awkwardly and looked at the window once again.
the blue and white hues calmed her. like when she was with her mother at their terrace, just reading stories or playing in the sun.
when everything was innocent and happy.
it was stupid.
she cut ties with her family before ahe went off to college. refusing their money for her fees, calls or texts.
they were probably concered about her well-being, but eunbi's anger with them is deep down.
it wasn't just jealousy for her older brother.
it was all the lies everyone believed.
when she was in high school, her brother told something that spread around the school before he went to america for college.
she was jackson's slut.
also the reason why everyone was afraid of her or her poker face. jackson's family was very powerful and they didn't want to mess with the wang's playtoy.
it hurt.
but it hurt even more when her parents believed the rumors. demanded to know if she still had her dignity, or if she's got a child with him. how much money will she get from him.
they were holding her back.
the insecurities they gave her made her want to die.
and she couldn't take it anymore
after high school she packed her bags and left for seoul to pursue her dreams.
away from the family who ruined her.
"miss, we're dimming the lights for better sleep. is that okay with you?"
snapping out of her thoughts, she looked up in surprise before nodding, "yeah, sure." she said, closing the windows.
"there are eyepatches and earbuds in the cupboard over there. please call us if you need anything." the girl bowed before hurrying off to her station.
she sighed and grabbed a pair of earbuds and sticking them to her ear and snapping it to the phone's bottom.
click.
"oh." she exhaled, looking at the photo infront of her.
her eyes suddenly watered, and the tears fell, wetting the screen.
