"I'm telling you to get out of my room. Now." El snapped at her mother, throwing the closest thing to her. Her mother ducked but held her ground. Her mother had enough of her outbursts, she wanted to be there for her daughter.

El wanted to be out of this hospital room, she was trapped like a prisoner. All she wanted to be was free; away from this fucked up world. Her mind was thinking a thousand thoughts, enough to make her dizzy. Enough to make her feel insane. The news reporters tried to enter the room, asking her millions of questions. She stayed silent.

"I'm going to leave, but when we come back we are going to talk about this." Her mother reluctantly left the room, her shoulders sagging. El couldn't stand how now,  after her mother had been exposed to the world, she wanted to cradle her. To love her.

Minutes after she left, Josh walked through the door, a bright smile on his face. He ignored the broken girl with the tear stained face, he just smiled. As if he had a plan.

"I'm going to get you out of here, we're going to go to the park to swing." El shook her head, as if she'd be able to get out of this place. "Please? Just for an hour."

"Just close your eyes, lean back and let the world slip away." Josh stated, smiling at her as he pushed her from behind. "Ready? Go."

El did as he said, the wind blew her hair back, but it felt as if she were flying. Just for a moment, it was as if she were somewhere else. The smile that grew on her face was automatic. When she straightened back out Josh was staring at her, a slight smile on his face.

"I'm so sorry El. I know you wanted to leave, but I just couldn't let you go.  I want you to feel what love is." He looked up towards the sky, El felt her throat swell.

"You can't save me by loving me." She told him, he turned towards her, his facial expressing nothing but sadness.

"But isn't it at least worth a try?"
