"Oh, Miss (Y/n)! I wasn't expecting to see you so soon—"

(Y/n) pushes past Benjamin, her feet loudly smacking against the marble flooring as she angrily glanced around the area.

"Dark!"

Her voice bounced up and down the open space, her eye twitching. After her long walk to the manor had ended, she was now starting to feel how sore her legs and feet were. Although she had walked to the property on foot before, the walk to Celine's and back had also exhausted her, nevermind the extra trip to Dark's. She kept in mind to restrain herself from taking two long trips like this again, or at least take a taxi next time in one direction.

"Miss (Y/n), what is the matter?"

The girl turned around, her eyes connecting with Benjamin's. His blue eyes were peering at her, unnerving her slightly. She usually ignored it the best she could, but she was always a little freaked out by how similar Ben looked to her dear friend, Tyler. How was it possible? She knew about the anomaly of reincarnation, but this was just a doppelganger thing. It had to be. If this was reincarnation, one of the two would be dead, wouldn't they?

"What's with all the ruckus?"

The thoughts of Benjamin faded away as she whipped back around, seeing Dark himself descend slowly down the stairs with his eyes locked onto her. She gritted her teeth, trying to keep her insults in her mouth as he came closer. Oh how badly she wanted to slap him again. One, for making her leave Ethan while he was sick. And two, for threatening her. He had no right to do what he did. Just because he wasn't getting his way didn't mean that he was able to act like a little toddler and not get away with it.

Behind him, Wilford was walking down the steps as well. (Y/n) felt her mouth go dry as she recognized the large mustached man, her mind flashing back to the memories of her life-and-death situation with him. She still had so many questions about that day, but never did she really want to relive the terror that she bore in her veins for what felt like hours.

The spark in Dark's eyes shone brighter as he stepped off of the staircase and approached whom he called his 'little monster'. (Y/n) felt so prized around him. But oddly enough, not in a way that she deemed healthy or normal. It was almost if he thought of her as some sort of trophy — something to win over.

No matter his intention, he was currently in the running for last place.

Wilford followed slowly after Dark, keeping his head down as the two approached her. Will seemed extremely fidgeting and she could see a hint of a sweat on his brow. What was he so nervous about? The possibility that he could be planning yet another attack set (Y/n) on edge yet again. As the two stood only about a foot in front of her, she found herself inching away from Wilford and towards Dark. She'd rather be next to the man that professed (and proved) to protect her rather than the guy who tried to murder her.

"Hello there, my dear." Dark greeted, his grin obviously painted on by how irritated (Y/n) looked. It gave him a certain sense of power — knowing that he had this way to toy with her. She could be such an angry person sometimes. For the most part, he didn't even have to do anything to cause it. He enjoyed being able to tease and taunt her.

"Don't call me that." She spat, her furious eyes never leaving Dark's intensely lovable gaze. That smile that he held on his face was captivating. It was a toothy grin, which she didn't think that she had seen from him before. He looked genuinely...

Happy.

But then again, he was annoying her and was getting off on it. Who knew what his actual emotions were?
