"Tyler? What are you doing here?" She asked, approaching the police officer with apprehension. Tyler usually went to this degree to make sure she was okay, but the lights were new. Was he trying to make her come out sooner? Grab her attention or something? If so, what was all of this for?
"Who's that?"
Tyler, who was leaning against the cop car, lazily pointed behind her and towards the mansion's doors. She whipped her head back, watching Benjamin raise his head up to wish her goodbye.
What would Tyler do?
If he saw Ben, and saw the resemblance between the both of them, would he freak out? He wouldn't take the discovery lightly, that's for sure. She had to act fast.
She turned back to Tyler, who was trying to turn at an angle to where he could see Benjamin better. (Y/n) ran up to him, quickly wrapping him up in a tight hug. Tyler grunted and looked down at the girl, surprised at her actions. She squeezed his torso tightly, hoping to distract him enough for Ben to get the hint to go inside again. She glanced back behind her shoulder, seeing that the mansion doors were now shut and Ben was no where to be seen. She let out a sigh of relief as she let go of her friend. Tyler wheezed slightly, laying his hand on his stomach.
"Gah, you know I could charge you for assaulting an officer for that?"
"Oh please. You should be stronger than that you big baby." She teased, stepping back from him to look into his confused eyes, "So, what are you doing here again?"
"Ethan was really worried about you." He replied, pointing up to the setting sun, "He told me that you had been gone for hours. I checked out Celine's place first, but then ultimately figured that you were here. You weren't at your office either."
"Ah..." Her mind went racing back to the state that Ethan was in when she was forced to leave him, "How's he doing?"
"He didn't sound too good on the phone. Want a ride back?"
(Y/n) smiled, quickly nodding her head before the two of them got into the car. Tyler wasted no time in getting situated, making sure to look over at the girl and check to see if she had put on her seat belt. She had, and upon his eyes falling on her, she cheerfully raised up her thumb and smiled.

A drive through the city was always really peaceful, especially when (Y/n) wasn't behind the wheel.
The dusk sky was so beautiful. Sure, out here, you couldn't see many stars on account for the air pollution and muck, but (Y/n) would always look anyway. Sometimes, she would find one only for it to be a satellite. It was disappointing, but she always held a hope in her chest to go somewhere clean and clear. Maybe she could even see the Milky Way one day. It had been so long since she had seen actual stars.
Of course, considering the many fires in California this year, it was even harder to appreciate the nature around those parts. She wanted to go out into the country one day. Maybe just visit an area where she can lie on the moist ground in peace and fall asleep under the stars.
It sounded like a beautiful experience.
"What does your boss think about all of this?"
Tyler's question broke the comforting silence in the police car, causing her thoughts to dissipate as well. She turned to him, allowing herself to realize that his eyes were still grounded onto the road in front of him. She turned back to the window, continuing to glance for any signs of stars.
"Boss?" She asked gently, not truly paying full attention to the question.
"Yeah, your boss at the firm. He or she must not be happy with you not showing up so much."
