**WARNING: MENTIONS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE**
Surprisingly, (Y/n) slept oddly well that night. She woke up around 10AM, feeling much more refreshed than she ever really had before. Dark's words were still in the back of her mind and lingering in her heart as well. She smiled softly, pulling the blankets off of her legs before she stopped. She smirked slightly as she spoke.
"Dark, you'd better not be trying to sneak a peak."
Inside of her mind, an awkward cough rang out. She let out a laugh, falling back into her pillow as she let her giggles take over for a moment. Dark chuckled as well, happy that she was back to herself for this fleeting moment.
"You've caught me, Ms. (Y/n)." He admitted, causing the girl's cheeks to flush red. The smile stayed on her face as she addressed him.
"Dark, I'm not getting out of this bed until you leave."
"Wait if I said that I don't wish to leave?" (Y/n) pushed the blush-inducing thoughts out of her head and answered him simply.
"Then I guess I won't come visit anymore." She threatened, a toothy smile on her face. Dark let out a groan, confirming that (Y/n) won this battle.
"Fine. I suppose we'll save this conversation for another day." Dark smiled, feeling heat envelop in the girls face — she knew exactly what he meant by that, but it didn't make the thought any less embarrassing, "Farewell for now, my dear. I will talk to you soon."
The numbness in her head left with haste, which gave her enough comfort to pull the covers off the rest of her body and rush quickly to the bathroom in order to avoid Ethan's accidental gaze. A shower sounded nice right about now, but she wasn't willing to dress for the trip there.

"Be careful, Ethan." (Y/n) called out, her wet hair whipping around as she turned to greet the sickly boy walking out of his room. He tugged the small blanket around him more, slightly staggering towards her. (Y/n) had on a pair of black leggings with a blue v-neck t-shirt. She loved lazy days and had a feeling that today would be one of those.
"Morning to you too." He croaked out, ignoring the girl's concerned face as he waddled into the kitchen. She rushed over to his side, putting her hand on his chest to stop him from moving.
"I know you're feeling better, but you have to stay in your room. I'm trying not to get sick, Ethan." (Y/n) pulled the cabinet open from under the kitchen sink and grabbed a Lysol spray bottle. Ethan stepped back, immediately understanding what that meant for him.
"Don't spray me!" He yelled as much as he could muster, his legs wobbly. The girl laughed, catching up to him and putting the bottle very close to his face.
"Then go to your room~" She cooed, smiling as she watched the boy stumble back into his room and shut the door behind him. She already knew what he had come out to get, so she picked up where he left off. The attorney walked to the fridge, opening up the freezer side to pull out a box of frozen waffles. She peered inside to check to see if there was enough, and lucky for a sickly Ethan, there were exactly three. She quickly pulled them out and stuck them into the toaster for a few moments. While she waited for the waffles to finish up, she went ahead and began to put together a cup of hot chocolate for the boy. She preferred using milk instead of water — it really brought out the flavor of the chocolate.
It didn't take but a few minutes for Ethan's breakfast to finish up. She carefully grabbed the hot chocolate, placing it gently on the tray that she had grabbed for Ethan. (Y/n) was just about to make her delivery when her phone started to ring from where it was laid on the countertop. She checked the caller ID before answering: Officer Smiles was ringing in. Knowing how he usually got when she missed any of his calls, she stopped what she was doing and answered it.
