The crowd cheers and screams as I leave the stage, Hanji follows close behind. Mike joins us in the wing a few moments later. We return to the dressing room and enjoy some refreshments as we await our security and road crew to finish up.

"That was one of our biggest shows yet!" Hanji exclaims. Mike nods, as do I. I take a swig of my soda and glance around at my band mates, my family.

"Something wrong Levi?" Mike asks, staring at me through his bandages.

He is the tallest of our group, and the only one with facial hair. He looks to be a real jerk, but in all reality he's an oversized teddy bear. During our breaks in touring, he volunteers at a soup kitchen, hand making most of the meals. He has a knack for the culinary arts.

"No," I answer, keeping my thoughts in the present.

"We're ready," a masculine voice calls from the other side of the closed door.
"Roger that Sawney!" Hanji smirks.

The second tallest of our group (leaving me to be the smallest) and a real genderless smart ass. They are on the crazy train with only a string connecting them to reality. They have a strong personality that takes some getting used to. During the breaks they work as a surgeon for anyone who's willing to pay.

I have a stone cold exterior and some borderline inhuman strength, at least for my height, but I care for those around me with my entire heart. During our breaks I work anywhere and everywhere, my preferred work being cleaning.

We all leave the now empty venue and walk down the back alley to our tour bus. Sawney walks in front of us, his muscular appearance blocking most of the moonlight from reaching me, damn tall people. Bean, our other security and road crew member, walks behind us. He's even taller than Sawney, but looks weaker.

As we near our bus we pass by multiple overfilled trash cans that are plagued with foul odors. I keep my bandaged eyes focused on a particular spot, one that I swore had moved not a moment ago. Someone coughs from the spot, causing me to stop. They cough again, like a fish out of water, gasping hopelessly at the unbreathable air, it's a sound that I knew a long time ago.

My instincts take over and I quickly rush to the spot, removing the garbage from the coughing person. The pale figure appears from the trash, a brunette male, maybe early 20s. He doesn't react to my touch as I try to wake him.

By now the others have noticed my sudden reaction and gather around me.

"L?" Hanji asks, staring at the frail male.

"He doesn't look so good," Bean comments. I nod and begin to pick up the male. It's only then when I notice the bloody spot in his stomach. I cautiously continue to pick him up and we rush to the bus. He's taller than me, but it takes nothing to carry him.

Sawney opens the door for us and then heads to the driver's seat. After getting in, I set the male down on the 'couch' and back away. Hanji quickly loses their bandages before moving into where I once stood to check over him. They rip the section of his shirt off so it won't get in the way. Mike gets in and retrieves Hanji's medical kit as Bean closes the door behind him.

"He's been shot," Hanji reports, getting on gloves and glasses. "He'll need blood once I start."

I remove my jacket and set it down in the closet like compartment. I lift the male's head and sit down before laying it on my thigh. Hanji quickly rolls up my sleeve, disinfects the area around my vein and injects a needle into my arm. They start the blood flow as they clean the boy's arm to do the same. Once my blood begins to run through the boy's veins, Hanji begins the surgery.

The bullet had gone through his body, but left fragments throughout the wound. Hanji was relieved to find that the fragments had caused no major damage. They finish removing the shrapnel and then sew up the male.

Sawney begins to pull out onto the street.

"Are we taking him to the hospital?"
The male's head jerks on my thigh, as if to answer the question, his eyes squint and try to open, his face scrunches in agony. Anxiety radiates from his body and floods my system, causing my heart to tense. The feeling is alien to me, and I honestly want it to stop.

"Hanji?" I turn to meet their eyes. "Are you able to care for him here?" Hanji thinks for a moment.

"May need to go to the drug store quickly, but otherwise I think so." The male's anxiety stops poisoning my organs and I can tell that's what he wanted. "Why?"

Before he has the opportunity to tense again I respond, "Because the brat is causing me anxiety whenever you talk about hospitals."

Hanji opens their mouth to add something but I calmly motion at the male, who settles more into my thigh. They seem to understand as they nod and turn to Sawney and Bean.

"Sawney, can we stop by a drug store real quick?"

"Sure thing boss," Sawney responds.
