The cold water runs down my face and down my chest. Despite the biting cold on my flesh, my body still feels hot. Not in a good way, but a stomach starting to boil kind of way. The image of Eren in that uniform is burned into my mind. I rub my eyes and turn off the water. I could even see Hanji, Mike, and Erwin in the same uniform. Tan jackets with the white and blue wings on the shoulders and back, the white pants with brown knee high boots and leather straps going every which way against our bodies.

For a moment I can feel the way they would have chafed against my thighs and chest, leaving my skin tingling. After a sigh and a moment to clear my head, I exit the bathroom and pull on a pair of pants before walking to the dining room.

I barely make it out of the hall when I smell french toast, making me smirk a little. Mike knows it’s a personal favorite of mine, when I have to eat more than a pastry. When Hanji spots me, their eyes narrow.

“I wasn’t even gone for twenty-four hours and you two started dating?” They yell at me, crossing their arms, “You couldn’t have waited?”

I glance to Eren, whose face is red.

“They kind of beat it out of me, sorry Levi,” He sighed.

I roll my eyes and walk up behind him, placing a hand on his back. “It’s fine, Hanji’s got a way of finding things out one way or another.” I softly smile to him, my back to Hanji.

He smiles back to me leaning into my hand as it moves to hold his face. “Okay,” is all he responds with.

Hanji gives a soft chuckle, probably rolling their eyes. Mike enters with a plate full of french toast slices ready to be eaten. He sets it down along with cinnamon and syrup, the plates and silverware already placed out across the table. Eren straightens his neck, allowing me to sit down next to him and eat. The entire time it's quiet, a comfortable quiet that comes from being around certain people for a long amount of time.

After breakfast we catch Mike up on the case, telling him about Isabel being witness to the attempted murder of Eren. He sits and nods for a moment, taking the computer to read the report for himself. Having done the dishes, I lean against the table beside my boyfriend, which sounds weird to me still. Eren slips his hand into mine, still regretful over his outburst yesterday. I glance down, squeezing his hand a little to reassure him that he's alright. This also sparks a question that could help with the investigation.

“Did Isabel have anyone she was close with?” I ask.

“Y-yeah,” Eren nods, thinking it over. “Furlan, Furlan Church. He’s her boyfriend.” For some reason, the name strikes my spine hard enough to make my back tense up. No one seems to take notice.

I give a nod to Hanji whose gotten back their computer and types in the name. "He lives in a more rural area." Hanji mumbles.

"Yeah, it's a rough neighborhood," Eren sighs.

"That's good, Lovof will avoid the area to not draw attention from the public," I add, shifting ever so slightly to ease the tension in my back.

"Maybe, when we prove my innocence we could put Lovof out of business!" Eren optimistically gleams.

I wish I could be that bright eyed over this, but after dealing with Lovof once before, I know that he won't go down so easily. We could definitely prove Eren's innocence, but taking down Lovof won't be as simple.

"Can we start today?" Eren looks up to me. "Please, I'm worried the longer we wait the more bad he'll do." He's using those beautiful eyes to sway me, the bastard. Should never have told him how much I love them.

"I suppose we could get a flight back to your home and drive to Furlan's house to see if he's seen your cousin." I answer, shrugging to the others. "Meanwhile you two could get with Hanji's contact and canvas the alley of the theater."

"And what about the Kyojins?" Mike inquired.

"I didn't think they'd want to be involved any more." I shrugged.

Hanji shook their head. "They're tired of Lovof as much as Eren is, they want to help."

I gave a nod, it wouldn't hurt to have them on board with us. "Call them up, tell them to pack up, we'll meet at the airport." Eren smiles up to me, excitement gleams in his eyes, making me forget the others are there as I lean forward to give him a soft and short kiss.

Even just that little taste releases a thousand butterflies into my stomach. I can feel Hanji holding back a wave of emotions so I lean back away from him to discourage another kiss. His soft smile tells me that he would love another, but is contempt with not having to deal with the fan squeals from the speckled maniac.

"Yeah, okay, we can do that." Hanji nods after a few deep breaths to calm themself down. "We'll head out and pack up so we can meet you there." They give an exaggerated bow before strutting to the door, Mike slowly following and giving a wave.

"We should as well," I begin, still looking at the door, "I've got-"

Suddenly my chin is softly gripped and tilted up and to the brunette who has now stood up.

"Eren? Are you okay?"

He softly smiles again before leaning in to kiss me. My hands find their way to his sides as our lips move against each other's. I can feel his giddyness about the case and hope to clear his name in the kiss. It amazes me sometimes how emotional and expressive Eren is, I can't decide if its a lack of control or just the confidence to wear his heart on his sleeve. Either way I admire it greatly. He can wield his emotions like a sword, when he really tries.

He breaks the kiss, both of us out of breath. I keep him in my arms, feeling his heartbeat, going a mile a minute, through my hands. His breath mixes with mine, as in sync as a well kept music box.

"Thank you," He whispers, resting his head against mine.

"Don't thank me Jaeger," I whisper against his lips, "I want you to have a nice, long and worry free life, and I know you won’t let that happen for yourself while Lovof is still out there.” I tilt his chin closer to mine. “So I’m just going to have to stick with you until this is solved.” I joke. "Longer if you'll let me."

Eren rolls his eyes and kisses me again. Standing up, I pull him flush against me, holding his waist delicately. His arms rise above my shoulders to lazily rest around my neck. All I can think of is how happy this makes me, just a moment of peace with a gorgeous boy in my arms. To think I had convinced myself I’d never find this, that I would never fall in love, that I’d be alone forever. And to think that I was ever okay with that.

Hey lovelies, it's me: your author. It's been a while huh? Sorry about that. I didn't know how I wanted the story to go from here and got caught up in life. But I'm back, I'm writing again so hopefully I'll be back onto my schedule. Again, y'all are welcome to bug me on updates. Until next time...
