(Hi, not dead. Ummm.... Guess this either wasn't published or got unpublished, either way, apologies. I'm working on finishing this story before I published the final parts I love you all and am sorry for my radio silence over the past year. I got threatened over wattpad and it really took a tole on me at the time. I'm all better now though.)

By the time we land the others have woken up and started getting ready to go.

Eren and I pile our things into the Ford Excursion I rented for us. Before you assume I'm compensating in any way, it's because we aren't renting a hotel room, none of us are. Not after last time. So all of us have a large vehicle that we can sleep in comfortably and we're spaced out like we were on the plane, Hanji and the Kyojins, Mike and Erwin, each with our own mini mission.

Eren tells me how to get to Furlan's apartment and we arrive at dusk. He's fidgety and keeps messing with the baseball cap hiding most of his face. He continues to look over he shoulder as we walk up to Furlan's door, and stays behind me, in case Furlan isn't as helpful as we hope.

I'll admit that I'm also tense as I raise my hand to ring the doorbell. Immediately my hand goes to my concealed weapon, as you really can't be too careful.

A shadow moves across the peep hole and then away and I can hear the person on the other side unlock the door.

"L-Levi?" I hear a familiar voice ask before I feel someone hug me tightly.

I instinctively push them off with a growl, leaving the gun in its holster. "Get off." I hiss at them.

Furlan laughs softly from the door frame he was pushed into. "Sorry, I forgot . . ." he trailed off.

"Levi?" Eren speaks up from behind me, "Do you know each other?"

I look over the male in front of me. Yeah, I do know him, not this him, standing here in the darkening sky, but maybe a different time with him. But he knows me, or he knows a different me.

"No," I answer.

Furlan's attention shifts to Eren, "Holy shit . . ." He quickly snaps to the door and opens it, ushering us into his home. He is about to walk through a doorway when a red head appears there.

"Furlan, who was it?" She asks softly, looking over his shoulder. She makes eye contact with me first. Then Eren turns to meet her gaze. "E-Eren . . . you're, you're alive?"

He smiles in response and they run to each other, Isabel's eyes leaking tears.

"I-I saw them kill you," she sobs.

"They didn't," he responds, holding her in his arms. "I'm okay."

"How did you survive?" she asks, looking him over then to me. "Did you save him?"

Eren nods. "He did." He holds out a hand to me and I take it. He coaches me to my feet, and brings me closer to them. "Isabel, this is my boyfriend Levi." He beams.

Isabel jumps on me, arms around my neck. I do my best to keep myself from shoving her off of me in a panic. Furlan quickly suggests letting the two cousins catch up and Isabel releases me. I take a shaky breath, nodding my head as I follow him out of the room.

"You still get panic attacks?" He asks, once we're out of earshot.

"Of course I fucking do. Shithead. " I snap, taking another breath.

Furlan nods, staying silent until I'm calmer. "So nothing's really changed than." He chuckled.

I look to him, confused slightly. I look to the outside world. "Enough with the riddles Furlan, what are you getting at?"

"How much do you remember?"

I freeze for a moment. The question startles me. I know what he means by it, and I don't want to answer. I fight the urge to get up in his face, to push him around more and to threaten him.

"I know you at least recognize us, Levi." He tries again, keeping himself tall and sturdy, like he knows I want to punch him.

"What do you remember Furlan?" I turn the question on him, as a defense.

"That you're stubborn and pretend to be an asshole, but you're the most caring person I know."

"Tch," We scoff at the same time.

"And you are a complete and utter clean freak." He chuckles softly.

"Alright," I roll my eyes.

"There's more, but what about you?" He asks again, looking to me.

"Not much actually, it's flashes of images, feelings, and almost like deja vu sometimes." I answer, "I recognize you both, and I feel like I should be harking on the both of you for how messy the place is." I grimace as I look around.

Furlan laughs softly. "Well, you don't live here Levi." He smirks as he fires that back at me. And while that's true, I feel we did live together at one time, and yet it feels like the mess around me is still better than what we were around.

I softly sigh and glance back to where we just came from.

"So did you know Eren back then?" Furlan asks as he notices my attention drift.

"Yeah, I did." I quietly remarked. "I'm pretty sure I was his Capitan, we fought together, and I had feelings for him back then."

"I guess it was a pretty small world we lived in." He chuckled.

"And yet it's such a huge world now in comparison." I shook my head, musing about the chances of reuniting with him.

"Does he remember?" He asked, hope in his voice.

I shrugged, "He gets these nightmares sometimes, I think they're memories, and he has habits that he doesn't remember developing, habits that I have." I answer, keeping my eyes glued to where Eren and Isabel sit, talking and hugging. "Does she?"

"Not really, she has dreams too, but nothing nightmarish," Furlan shakes his head. "Not everyone does remember, or realize they're remembering the past. I tried to get into contact with some of the people I knew back then, but had no luck."

"Why do you think we remember?" I ask, looking out the window again.

"I don't know Levi," Furlan admits. "And I don't know if its a blessing or a curse."

I softly scoff. "Eren's woken up screaming, tears streaming down his face. He's seen friends die over and over in his dreams." I look away. "I get panic attacks from hugs, it feels like a giant hand crushing me. I get anxiety when there's mess around me, and if people get sick around me it's my fault." I glare out the window. "Our past was hell and I don't even need to remember it all to know that. I don't want Eren to go through it again."

Furlan looks to me, startled. "What do you mean?"

"Lovof. What do you know about him, what do you remember about him?" I ask, fiercely looking at him, making him turn white, though a smile creeps it's way onto his lips.

"It's good to see you haven't changed Levi."
