"It's a Burst Finish! [First name] wins!"
You pointed the tip of your sword down at the hooded male creature as you hear your friend declare your victory. Today, you felt light as a feather as you fought with all your might. You might actually nail the new move you and Valt had been polishing for a while if you keep this up.
Outside your little Beyblade world, Nika jumps in place. Her twin brother smiles big. "Yes! Big brother and Sister won!" Nika praises.
Without wasting another second, Valt picks you up from the stadium and places you to the side. With a poof, you returned to your human form and stretched happily. The post-win adrenaline finally dying down.
"You've been improving a lot, [First name]!" Valt compliments with stars practically shining from his eyes. He lifts a hand up for a high five.
"Only thanks to your Launching," You reply while high-fiving him back. Valt giggles happily at the compliment. "We're almost there. Just gotta keep pushing!"
"Mhm!" Valt nods eagerly.
Off to the side, Daina remains crestfallen as his face fixated on his fallen Bey. "My Shake Shoot was. . ." He sighs.
Today was a new day. As promised, Shu did end up staying the night after you and Valt trapped him in your household. Chiharu didn't let him leave, and Shu being a polite boy, stayed after she half-heartedly threatened him to stay for dinner and the night. Despite you shopping for your new room, all your bags were completely neglected on your bed and you three spent the night sleeping in the living room.
Shu was off in his own corner of the couch, Valt sprawled all over in the middle, and you slept on the opposite side all bundled up in freshly washed sheets. You thought Shu would be bothered by Valt's usual snoring, but turns out it lulled him right to sleep. The two were quite comfortable with each other, and you couldn't be happier at it being your first sleepover.
The morning that came after mainly consisted of sleepy faces and brushing teeth at the same time. With the benefit of Shu staying over, you and Valt actually made it to school ten minutes early.
The school day went by without a hitch. With your brand new notebook to jot down in along with new pens and markers, you were one happy little Beyblade enjoying the school day with minimal amount of fans stopping you to get stuff autographed. Times like these Valt came in handy due to him shooing the others away, and Rantaro would occasionally join when Valt was overwhelmed with the crowd.
"It's my turn this time, you two!" Rantaro challenges as he walks over to Daina's side.
"Sure! We'll just get a Burst again!"
"Is that so?"
Time flowed by like water in a running river. Smooth and without issues as the four of you began to spend time as a Beyclub. With Kensuke's absence, the rest of you had one less member—one less sparring partner. You were missing Kerbeus already.
