The life I was destined for

Event

Tonight is the event the girls and I are getting pampered. Massages, facials, nails, make up, hair and so much more. I have become more open with the group over what I've been through with Dean and mom. I'm slowly letting go of the pain, I know it won't go away fully but I will get through it. Finn and I have planned most of the wedding the colors will be blue and white, the bridesmaid will be Lane, Paris, April and Steph and for the groomsman Tristan, Logan, Colin and Robert. The ceremony will be held in the Rose room and the reception to follow in Stars Hollow. I'm in my room at the Hayden Estate getting ready when I fell a pair of arms wrap around me. I lean my head back against him and sigh.

" Hey love? How are you feeling?" Finn asks softly. I turn to face him

" I'm great now that your here." I reply planting a kiss on his lips.

" You ready to get into position?" He asks. I simply nod my head. Downstairs the ball is in full swing as the Gilmore's and the Hayden's get ready to make their announcement.

" May we have your attention please" they say and the room becomes silent.

" We would like to announce that our granddaughter is the Gilmore heiress" Richard and Emily says proudly " and the Hayden heiress" Strobe proudly adds.

" Now may we present you our granddaughter Lorelei Leigh Gilmore Hayden the 3rd escorted by her fiancé Finnegan William Morgan the 3rd" Francine says proudly. There's a round of applause as we make our way down the stairs. We head for the stage and join my grandparents.

" It is an honour to be their heiresses and have their legacy live on through me. I hope to make my families proud and move the businesses through to the next phase of success" I say happily. Once all the formalities are over we make our way to our friends.

" You did great" Colin says giving me a hug

" Amazing " Tris says with a hug and a quick kiss.

" Thanks guys" I reply

" How are you feeling?" Steph and Paris ask me.

" I'm great, I have all of you who love and support me" I say as I smile

" That we do love, that we do" Finn says kissing my cheek and they all nod agreeing with him. We make our way around the room talking and making conversations with people till it was time to go. I thanked my grandparents and we headed home. As we walked to the door there was a package addressed to me waiting. I slowly open it up and smile it was filled with coffee and a note saying " Congrats on your special night sorry I couldn't be there Dodger(Jess)". I smile at the note and think back to our talk.        

FLASHBACK.   

A week before the trial of Dean Forester began.

" Hey Jess can we meet up and talk?" I asked him hesitating

" Sure" he responds. We meet up at a cafe near by a few hours later as he now lives in New York.

" Hi" I say as we see each other

"Hey you ok?" Jess asks

" No, I need to ask you about that night when you pulled Dean away from me and I got hurt. I don't want to sound like I'm accusing you of anything but I'm trying to get some memories back. Did you do it on purpose?" I asked him sadly

" No, Ror I didn't do it on purpose Luke has told me he's been helping you try and regain some memory. We didn't work out for a reason and it was because your more of a sister than anything else and I would never intentionally hurt you. Your my princess and when I saw what Dean was doing I had to step in. I didn't mean for you to get hurt" Jess told me as a lone tear ran down his cheek.

" Jess so much has happened. I told Luke it wasn't you that broke my arm in the car accident."I told him.

" What did happen?" Jess asked concerned

" It was my mother" I said as tears streamed freely from my eyes. Jess sat there shocked.

" Why would she hurt you?" Jess asked pissed

" That's not all she's done" I say sadly and he engulfs me in a hug

" Tell me" Jess says concern filling his voice. I tell him everything that I've remembered with Dean and mom an the hell they both put me through. My found family from Chilton to Yale. I told him about Finn and I being engaged and then about the trial soon. His facial expression was a mixture of sadness, hurt, anger and pain.

" I'm sorry Ror for all they've put you through I'm here for you, you know that right baby girl?" Jess says

" I know that now thanks dodger" I say happily wiping the tears from my cheeks. After everything was said an done we went our separate ways with our newfound relationship of brother and sisterly love. He was hurting for me I could tell. He said he was gonna call Luke and talk to him.                     

END FLASHBACK                                   

" Who's it from Mare?" Tristan asks me curiously

" Dodger" that's all I said as an answer

" Who the hell is Dodger?" Logan asks angrily. Why was he angry? but that thought was soon forgotten.

"Jess" Finn answered for me.

" And Jess is?" Logan continues to question.

" Jess is Rory's other ex besides Dean" Robert and Colin say

" Great another ex" Logan says sarcastically

"What's your problem? He's not like Dean" Steph says annoyed with his attitude

" They dated for a little bit but broke up because it was more brother/sister than anything else" Paris states with finality

" Ok" Logan replies what else could he say. I think to myself why did he act like that? He's being a little overprotective. I understand that he is but what was with the confused looks that everyone had on their faces when he had that outburst. I crawled into bed into the arms of my one and only. the love of my life, my everything

"Night love" Finn says lovingly giving me a passionate kiss

"Night baby" I say as we fall asleep peacefully in each others arms with smiles on our faces.
