YAKARI {COMPLETED}

CHAPTER 5-The vision.

YAKARI'S POV

The commander's story had left me marveled .
I can't believe the lives of many has been lost over a mere piece of land.
I walked out the tent thinking what would become of my life in some years to come.

As I kept on pondering on what commander zeus just said, I caught sight of of lozur with the corner of my eye. He was busy shouting on hapless cadets who couldn't meet up to the standard of the training.
I felt like giving him a piece of my mind but I sucked it up and kept heading up to my tent.
On my arrival I heard the neighing of a horse at the back of the camp site and it seemed like it was that of the royal messenger. I was right .

The royal messenger then summoned the commander from his tent and handed a scroll over to him. Zeus took a glance at it and let out a light grin. He then gave a bow before escorting the messenger back to his horse.

It wasn't long before the commander summoned a hundred soldiers out of our regiment to the training ground. I was also called among them.

"ATTENTION! LISTEN UP YOU MAGGOTS, LATELY THE KING SENT A BATCH OF SOLDIERS TO HELP GUARD THE IRON MINERS AT THE NORTH END OF THE HUMAN TERRITORY AND UNFORTUNATELY FOR THEM THEY WERE ALL KILLED AND THE MINERS HAVE BEEN TAKEN HOSTAGE WITH THE MINE COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY ORTHOROX SOILDERS. HE ASKED GIVEN ME TASK TO SELECT THE BEST FIFTY OUT OF YOU LOTS IN ORDER TO ORGANIZE A RESCUE PARTY. DO YOU UNDERSTAND! ". The commander shouted .

"SIR! YES SIR! ".
"In the next twenty four hours challenges will be set to help in the selection".
This message was to be kept secret amongst us and not to be related to the other soldiers in the regiment.
As I walked towards my tent I heard my name. I turned to see who it was .
"Hey, what do you think that would be set for us, huh, any ideas?".
It was ñatasha,  she was admitted into this regiment the same time I was.

"I don't really know, but I bet it would be something crazy".
I didn't want to let out my fear for this. I was quite nervous and I didn't want it to show. At least not in front of her.
She just smiled and adjusted the sword In her belt strap. Then she turned to me again.
"Well I don't know but would you like to.... um...like kinda get dinner with me. Will it be cool with you? ".

"Yeah, anytime , just lemme... "
The whole camp just went silent.
"Ñatasha, can you... ".
She wasn't there anymore.
"Hello,Elizah yakari, nice to meet you ".

Almost instantly there was a human like figure on hoods standing in front of me.
I rushed to bring out my sword from its strap.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you ".

Not heeding to his warnings, I rushed at him aiming to take a swing at his head.
I was stuck.
I couldn't move any of my limbs.
My sword then left my hand and stood in front of the hooded guy.
Immediately the sword turned to dust and the hooded creature gave out a loud laugh.

Slowly he started levitating and progressed towards me and he placed two fingers on my forehead and immediately I went into a trans.

In the trans ,I saw the whole planet and it's inhabitants. They were all at war. And I saw new species of living beings in parts of the world and they were also at war. Then the whole place turned black and I saw seated on a long table seven headless beings and there blood was drenched into a pit dug a long way from the table. Slowly this deep pit was filled with blood and out of this pit emerged a lady and immediately a crown was placed on her head. She then cast her hands over the earth and it all set on fire. Then I heard a little boy on his knees crying blood out of his eyes and he was singing.

🎶"WOE TO THE EARTH AND ITS INHABITANTS
WOE TO THE RED QUEEN AND HER LOVER
WOE TO THOSE WHO WOULD TRY TO STOP HER
SHE WILL GIVE RISE TO THE END OF US
IT WILL SOON BE OVER. YES IT WILL SOON BE OVER ".🎶

As soon as the boy was done singing he rotted away and turned into dust and with him went the entire planet.

"Look, the world is coming to an end and it will come at the hands of the red Queen. You have to stop her or else she will resurrect the lord of darkness and the one true destroyer. Darkness in flesh and blood. One whose name shouldn't be mentioned "
I still was confused.
"Hello mister or mistress , I still don't understand why you chose me to show this to. I mean there is no way I can defeat the red queen like this".

Slowly he dipped his hands into his chest and brought out a Ruby coloured rock and placed it in mine.
"You will understand at the right time. The whole world is dependent on you now. Do not fail".

"What do you say, are you in for it or should i just leave".
Ñatasha asked as I just recovered from the trans.

I gave a light nod as I walked straight to my tent.
What was that I wondered.
Soon evening arrived and it was time for dinner to be served. As I walked out of my tent I saw ñatasha already waiting for my arrival.

She walked towards me with all smiles on her face. In that moment I just noticed her for the very first time.
She had the cutest set of eyes I had seen in a long time. She had her hair cut before she joined the army but she still looked beautiful. She was also a blonde just like me.

"I was scared you would opt out of the arrangement but you kept your word". She said as she took my hands into hers.

"I won't miss it for the world".

I could feel her blush from where I stood. She then dragged me to the food stand to collect our meals.

"so tell me ,what's your family like? " .
I hesitated to answer the question.

" well to start with, I'm the only one left in my family. My brother died in war and both parents were killed after I was born, so I didn't really know them".
"I'm sorry I asked. I didn't know it was that bad" she said as she placed her hand on mine.

"Well it's my time to ask questions ".

And we sat there together all night finding more about ourselves that I forgot what was ahead.
Our doom.
