The Boys

The boy in the center, who seemed to be the shortest, spoke first. "Who are you and why are you in our house?"

I momentarily forgot how to speak. "Who Am I? Who are you? I've know everyone in this town, but I don't know you."

The boy stepped forward almost threateningly. I didn't like the look in his eyes. I took a step back in automatic response. He spoke bluntly, but somehow his voice was still somewhat...cute. "I've lived in this house my entire life with my hyungs, and I've never seen you before. Besides, I believe I asked you first."

I sighed and rolled my eyes, knowing I'd never get anywhere like this. "Whatever. I'm y/n. I'm only here because I was forced to, and I thought this place was abandoned."

"Well clearly it's not." Another one of the boys answered as they all stepped up to be behind the one who had been speaking before. They were all bigger than me, so needless to say, I felt threatened.

Still, I swallowed my fear and spoke as confidently as I could. "Okay. I answered your question. Now answer mine."

A different boy answered. "Why should we answer a human girl who just waltzed into our house? You're quite rude, you know that?"

I rolled my eyes again. "Usually when you ask a question, the other person is supposed to answer especially when you already answered their question. Who's the rude one now?"

Another one spoke up. He was much more intimidating than the first three. He clearly had a strong build, which made him twice as threatening. "You're quite confident for being such a small girl. Anyway, it's close to time for us to be getting to work, so come back tomorrow and we might answer your questions."

I rolled my eyes once more before leaving. My friends were waiting for me outside and were frantically asking what happened as if I'd been gone for hours. "Calm down. I was barely in there for thirty minutes."

Suyung, my best friend, almost yelled. "Y/N-ah! What's wrong with you?! You were in there for like two hours! Your parents keep calling me!"

I immediately looked at my phone to find myself in shock: it was already seven pm. I went in at five. I could've sworn I wasn't gone that long. "Whatever. I'm going back tomorrow since it's Saturday. Cover for me. I'll tell my parents I'm hanging out with you all day and maybe spending the night."

"Ya! Do you not understand? There's something wrong with that house! Even time is different in there. Don't you dare go back."

"I have to. They told me to. It's the only way I'll be able to understand who they are." I spoken without thinking. I hadn't intended to tell her about the ten boys I'd seen.

"They? Who are they?" She spoke quickly and almost to the point I couldn't understand.

"I'll tell you when I find out."
