Suyung sat up sharply. So soon as she did, she started a coughing fit. As she did, Taeseon ran to get her a cup of water. When he returned, she was still coughing harshly...blood coming from her mouth in the process.

Samuel quickly moved to her side, getting her to lay back down. We all backed away to give her space. The ten wolves and I went back into the kitchen, wanting to give them as much space as possible. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.

A hand landed on my shoulder softly. I looked up to see Hohyeon surrounded by the other ten boys as he spoke gently. "Don't worry. Suyung will be fine. You can trust Samuel. I've never seen him fail to heal someone. If he can get to them before they die, he can save them."

I nodded, still feeling uneasy. I was trying my best to stay calm, but internally, I was freaking out. I was trying to remember how I always managed to stay calm before. I'd been fearless my entire life, but turns out, it's not so easy being fearless when your best friend is close to dying because of someone you know nothing about attacking them. That is especially true when the reason for the attack was to get to you. It was almost impossible to hide the fear that I felt, and I could tell that they knew I was scared. I could also tell that they didn't know how to comfort me.

Samuel was still caring for her when I fell asleep. I didn't plan to go to sleep as I was still sitting at the kitchen counter. I was too worried to even think about going to sleep with her in that condition.

As I slept, I had abnormally vivid dreams again. At least, I think they were dreams. A slender woman was standing in front of me. She had hair of a honey blonde color and copper skin adorned by teal markings. Her hair went past her waist, bits and pieces tied behind her and braided though most of it blowed freely in a soft breeze. If her hair had been black and she didn't have the teal marks, she would've looked almost exactly like my mom.

I watched silently as she came closer to me before she began speaking in a smooth, gentle voice unlike any I'd ever heard before. "Y/N, you've grown since I last saw you. You look so much like your mother."

"Who...who are you?" I spoke quietly, feeling a sense of inferiority to the woman in front of me.

"My dear, I'm your grandmother. Unfortunately, I am unable to see you in person as I am very sick. You should know that I have sent someone to help you. You'll need all the help you can get to avoid the fate that is in course as of now for those boys you've gotten close to. I believe you've seen it."

I stared at her silently. How could a woman this youthful and beautiful be a grandmother of a teenager? After a moment, I recalled of the gruesome dreams I had in which all ten of the wolves were either critically injured or dead.

"Do you mean the dream where they were all...?" I couldn't finish my sentence. "That was just a nightmare. It's not really going to happen, right?"

I could see sympathy in her eyes. "Sweetheart, do you know nothing of sylphs? It's in your blood to have large amounts of knowledge, including prophecy. As a hybrid, yours comes in dreams. Every dream you have that you can remember after waking up is a prophecy. That nightmare showed you the result of this struggle against that malice goblin based on the path your following now. That wasn't just a dream."

So sorry to do this to y'all. By the way, I'm actually doing research on all the species in this book to incorporate abilities and such. Unfortunately, there's not much on specific abilities for goblins (they're based on Korean folklore in this book btw).
