The Real Fear

Not being able to withstand my curiosity, I approached the window. Once glance couldn't hurt, right? But it did. It was the man once again. It was only a moment of seeing him before everything went black.

When my consciousness came back, I was lying on the most disgusting bed I have ever seen in my life. The room was completely trashed with the only light coming from a sole window in the room. Desperate to get off the disgusting bed, I walked over to the window and looked outside: completely desolate. I'm still in the other dimension...Should I be happy or scared by that? On one hand, I was still in the same dimension the boys, who would hopefully try to find me and save me. On the other hand, if I escaped, I would be completely lost. I closed my eyes and sighed softly, deep in thought.

The sound of a door opening brought me out of my thoughts as I turned to see the man in the doorway. He smiled when he saw me in almost a...kind(?) way. He kidnapped me and now he's doing that? What's up with this guy? "There's my pretty girl. Welcome back. I knew your mom wouldn't be able to keep me from you forever."

"Ah...I think you have the wrong person. This is the first time I've ever been here before." I put my hands behind my back as I tried to act as confident I could.

"That's not cute, y/l/n y/f/n. You're exactly the same as the last time I saw you but more mature. Forget whatever your mother and that human told you about me." What was he talking about? Why would my mom know him? How did he know my full name? My mind was flooding with question as I fought the urge to let my fear sink in.

"I'm sorry, but I have absolutely no idea who you are." I spoke matter-of-factly, which probably would've been more convincing if my voice wasn't shaking slightly. As soon as the words left my mouth, I felt a hand on my face followed by a sharp pain. Did he just slap me? I bit back tears as I refused to look at him.

He started shouting, which only made me feel worse. My parents were always distant and busy, so they rarely ever yelled or hit me. They didn't even yell at each other. "Don't play dumb, y/n! I am not stupid! Don't act like you don't know who I am! I know you do! Why else would come through the rift except to be reunited with me?"

I stared at the ground, refusing to look at the man who had just slapped me. He sighed as I saw his feet turn and walk away from me before hearing the sound of the door slamming. I closed my eyes as tears started to fall. I sat with my back pressed against the door, hugging my knees close to my chest as I cried.

**3rd Person point of view**

As y/n was being taken and beaten, the boys were doing the work they do every other day. When they came home to find the girl missing, they were all enraged. You could see their worry just by looking at them though they expressed it in different ways.

Taeseon looked to Wooyeop for an answer. "You did tell her to not even look out the windows, right?"

Wooyeop nodded as he answered truthfully. "Kangmin and I told her at least twice. I guess the curiosity was too much for her..."

"I'm not surprised she'd look out. She's too curious and fearless not to. What are we going to do, Hyung?" Kangmin's Eyes had averted to the ground as he spoke anxiously.

"Is that even a question, Kangmin?" Hayoung put a hand on Kangmin's shoulder in a comforting fashion. He didn't want to show his worry and fear on the behalf of the other guys. He had to be strong for them. "We have to find her and save her."

"How are we going to do that? He's too smart to do anything that would let us find her." Hohyeon sat down as he voiced his concerns.

Siwoo added to his pained statement. "And he's too powerful for us to be able to help at all. Even if there are ten of us."

Jihun took a deep breath to control his worry, trying to stay strong for the younger boys like Hayoung. "We'll find a way. If we don't do anything, who knows what he'll do to her."

Hakmin nodded as he added to what Jihun said, not trying as hard to mask his negative thoughts. "Even if it costs us our lives, that's what we've been supposed to do for years. Her mom told us to protect her, and now he has her."

Hyunwoo, taking his worry out with anger, punch a wall next to him as he complained. "I knew this would happen. That girl is too stubborn to listen to anything anyone tells her."

JiSung put a hand in Hyunwoo's shoulder gently. "We all knew this would happen eventually. It's nothing to get angry about. We just need to make sure we get her back before her dad can do too much damage to her."
