The next day, I went back as soon as I could (about nine am). When I walked in, I saw no sign of the ten boys, so I looked around a little. I found them in what I figured was the dining room. They were all eating, seeming not to notice me. Before I could speak, I felt a cold wind on my face and closed my eyes. When I opened them again, the boys were gone. Or I thought they were until I heard the familiar voice of the tallest of them.

"I thought you'd be here earlier. Unless you just woke up, but...do you really sleep that late?" I turned around to see them gathered around the stairs again, but in a different formation. The boy who spoke had a condescending tone in his voice.

"First of all, I woke up at 7:30 and left my house at eight so stop with they condescending tone

"First of all, I woke up at 7:30 and left my house at eight so stop with they condescending tone. Secondly, I think you owe me some answers." I crossed my arms. All ten of them seemed to be surprised over how asserted I was.

The tallest spoke again. "I suppose we might as well, since we promise we may if you showed up again. Besides, I believe we all agree that we're quite impressed your bravery. I'm Taeseon, and that's Jihun, Hayoung, Hohyeon, Hyunwoo, Wooyeop, Hakmin, Jisung, Kangmin, and Siwoo." He pointed at each of the boys individually as he introduced them, each of them giving some type of signal to affirm who he was referring to.

The one called Hyunwoo jumped over the rail of the stairs, landing perfectly on his feet and walked to stand right in front of me. Although I felt slight fear of it, I looked up to him and made eye contact for several seconds before he spoke in his surprisingly deep voice. It was the first time I heard it, and it surprised me.

"This situation could be worse. It could've been an ugly girl who walked into our house. At least she's kinda cute." He smiled a little: the first smile I've seen from any of them. It was almost...soothing. Normally, I would've blushed at someone calling me cute, but I was too focused on the fact that his eyes were staring into mine as if he could see my whole life story.

"Why—why haven't I ever seen any of you before?" I spoke quickly, shaking off my awe. "My parents know everyone in town, and I know everyone because of that, but I don't know you."

Hyunwoo backed up as Jihun started speaking. "We rarely leave home, and when we do, we go out the back door."

"What does going out the back have to do with anything?" The boys seemed amused by my question. I have never been more confused in my life.

"Have you really not realized?" Hohyeon was almost laughing. What was so funny? "I would've thought the time thing would've given it away."

"What's so funny? I don't understand." I looked back and forth between the boys until someone answered.

"Time works differently here. I'm sure you noticed yesterday. We heard that girl yelling at you for it. Surely you must've guess it's because our front door is a connection between two dimensions: yours and ours."
