We all make mistakes, whether big or small. They should not define your life.
Do you want to know why they should not define our lives? The answer to that is because Jesus died for our sins. He died for our sins on a cross, so all of those past mistakes can be forgiven. All you need to do is pray for forgiveness. Once your pray to God, don't dwell on those mistakes or sins. Once your pray for them to be gone and for you to be forgiven God will forget about them. That is all that needs to be done.
The biggest thing in not letting her mistakes define you is by not doing them and just forgetting about them. Put all of your sins behind you and don't look back. Just look forward and look forward to all of the wonderful plans God has for your life.
Dear God,
Please just forgive me of my sins. I don't want them to keep taunting me or for me to just keep dwelling on them. Please, just let me let them go. Forgive me of my sins and I promise to never do them again. All I want is to grow closer to you Lord and to be in your presence. So, please, just forgive me of my sins and lay your hands on me.
