I was at my church's Wednesday night and I was helping teach preschool and kindergarten age kids. The lesson that night was about fiction vs non-fiction. They showed a book about Christmas and then they showed the Bible. It was clear what was fiction and non fiction to the kids.
Yet, this really struck me as a young adult. It struck me that even as adults we forgot to think about the simple things in life. How this Christmas season all of the things in the Bible happened. It was all true and sometimes we forgot to think on that. We just read our bibles and then go about our days. There is no dwelling on this word and how true it is for our lives, for the lives of the people who lived it.
This Christmas season just think about that simple thing, about how you maybe going through a hard time or a good time maybe. But Jesus will get you through it because he has went through it all for us, even death on the cross. All of this is true, even his birth. Remember he is with us this season and He will never leave us.

Dear God,
Please help for not only me but for everyone to notice the real ness of what you went through on the cross. You went through so much for me and my family. You have been through death and back, something I can't even imagine. Thank you for all that you do and happy early birthday!
