Oh God. Why do I feel so sick?

I've been hanging around the toilets for an hour now, every time I try to leave the feeling of nausea gets worse and worse.

Why did I eat all the chicken from the dodgy kebab shop the other night? I've felt rubbish ever since.

"Still not feeling good?" Kelly comes round the corner.

"Ugh," I groan and he smiles, taking a seat next to me on the floor, against the wall.

"Ah, it'll pass." He puts an arm around me and I rest my head on his shoulder. "Maybe you should go home for this shift." He suggests.

"No, no. It's not that bad. I'll be fine." I tell him and stand up. My head suddenly goes all dizzy and I almost fall but Kelly catches me. He frowns and I know he's stressing out now. "I just got up too quickly. Head rush."

"I really think you should go home."

"Kel—"

"Come on. Let's go talk to Chief." He says and we walk to his office.

"This really isn't necessary." I moan before we enter the office and talk to him.

"Okay," he nods. "I'll call in someone to stand-in for you while you recover. Do you mind staying until they get here?"

"Yeah, that's fine." I reply.

"Engine 51, Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, house fire at 6200 47th Street." The buzzer sounds and I go out to the ambo.

"Ooh, maybe I should drive." says Dawson. "You don't look so good."

"I don't feel good either," I reply and take a seat on the passenger side.

"Main to 61." The radio speaks.

"Victor Ramsey on dispatch. Again." I roll my eyes. He's getting obsessive. Every time Dawson is on shift - so is he.

"Go ahead main." Dawson says.

"State's backed up this morning. I'd take racine down to 47th." He suggests.

"Thanks, Ramsey." She replies. "You've been working the same shifts we have lately, huh?"

"Yep," he says as if it's nothing. "Great to see you at Molly's the other night. We should do it again soon."

"Let's keep it professional, okay Ramsey?"

"Just trying to help you, Dawson."

"Appreciate that. Thanks for the traffic tip." She says and puts the radio down. "Something is not right with that guy."

"Agreed." I say as my stomach churns again.

"Two-story residence, fully involved." Chief radios. "Okay, we have a report of three children in the second-floor apartment. Looks like the parents are likely with 'em."

"Cruz, Otis, up the aerial to vent! Herrmann and Mouch, primary search with me." Casey orders.

"Five possible victims. Mills and I will go with you on the search. Capp, grab a second line from the engine, inch and 3/4 through the front door, let's go." Severide says and then runs into the burning building.

I will never get used to him running through flames and putting himself in danger. It puts me completely on edge.

So far 61 has no victims to treat so we get the gurney out and stand-by. My stomach keeps churning and churning while I watch the house waiting to hear Kelly's voice through the radio.
